I did.  I did it.  I stepped on the scale.  I regretted it as soon as I did it - and not just because my weight was the same again.  I have no idea why a freakin’ SCALE tempts me like this!  WHY do I have to HAVE TO know???  Ohhhhh I sure lived without knowing back in the day when I was letting myself eat whatever whenever I wanted!  You couldn’t have dragged me onto a scale then.

I just wanna see if it makes a difference in how I perceive my own efforts.  I’ve been exercising every single day since starting this Challenge thing and I’m not seeing a direct correlation between that effort and the scale.  If I wait a week, will I feel compelled to work harder during that week so I can be all happy about the cumulative loss I’ll see?  I guess this is what I’m hoping, but I’m a little scared.  I haven’t lost any weight in weeks.  If when I finally weigh in, I don’t see a loss at all, I’m gonna be really disappointed.

See what’s happening to me here?  I gave this whole speech yesterday about how I don’t want to be focusing on my WEIGHT, and so to that end I want to take the scale away — and now my WEIGHT is all I can think about!!  I feel like by weighing in only once a week, I’m putting even more emphasis on the weigh-in being my real measure instead of the effort itself!

Well if I don’t give it a real try, I’ll never know.  Will not weighing in every day make a difference in my own daily motivation and perspective?  Can’t hurt to try, so tomorrow I’m gonna give it another shot.

I think maybe I should ask Hubby to hide my scale!  =D
