E2BL presents MARCH CHALLENGE!

Okay I thought about my idea the ENTIRE time I was shopping (yes, I-H-Meg you were so right! ha!) and then even discussed it with Hubby over dinner at Hops (a totally ON-PLAN dinner, btw!) and by the time I got home it was going on 11pm but I was all jazzed about my idea so I made these:

YES!  I have decided to host a freakin’ CONTEST!

See, it’s cool to post about my food intake and about my exercise efforts and about how much I weigh because it makes me accountable.  I DO NOT LIKE having to share it with everyone when the scale goes UP.  I DO NOT LIKE having to ‘fess up when I go off plan.  I’m assuming that I’m not alone in those feelings because it seems like a lot of people around here go off their diets - and disappear.  They stop posting rather than admit that they screwed up.  Some come back, some don’t.  So the accountable thing is good, but it’s not the same as COMPETITION.  For me, anyway, competition would be even better!

I didn’t want it to be a “how much weight can you lose” contest (partly because then it’s not fair to people who have less weight to lose).  To me, anyway, the nitty-gritty of “weight loss” isn’t what the scale says, it’s the day-to-day commitment to do two things:  1) eat right and 2) exercise.  So that’s what I made my contest about.  Not about losing weight, but about doing what it takes.

Hey, if we happen to lose weight along the way, great.  J

I hope at least ONE person joins me!  Maybe we can make eating right and exercising in March FUN!
