Day #57 - My pants are too big.
Starting weight (7/15/08): 279.8
Yesterday: 260.2 Today: 260.6
Change today: +0.4 Loss-so-far: 19.2 lbs.
I have probably 10 pairs of capri pants that I like to wear to to the office, they are comfortable, not too hot, but not as casual as shorts. I wore one of these capri pants to work today… and spent all day pulling them up (or keeping them from falling down). They are, without a doubt, way too big for me now. WOOOOHOOOO!!!
I’m still doing the DDR thing but my knees and ankles are still swollen. It’s the jumping. I haven’t jumped — on purpose — in probably, uh, 15 or 20 years. Or more. I can’t say that I much like the jumping, ya know, body parts flap and make noise that just should not. I just turn the volume up on the TV and keep going. Hopefully no one will notice. The only ones around TO notice are my kids anyway, and they’ve likely already noticed my flappy body parts. Ya think? =D
Tonight Kevin and I had chicken tacos for dinner (yes, we have them about once a week and I still love them so much!) and we had CAKE for dessert. One slice (about an inch-and-a-half-square) is a little over 4 carbs. CAKE!!! It was delicious.
Did I mention — my pants are too big? =D

Yay for you! And just think, you probably burned a few extra calories pulling up your pants all day. The tacos and cake sounded yummy, hope you enjoyed every bite.
Lol, you know, I wish I had a YouTube video that could somehow make you feel better about your DDR.
Holy CRAP! I DO!

Next time you are at the store grab some Aleve - it is what they give me to reduce the swelling in my neck. Take two with a glass of skim and the swelling will be gone.
Rock on with your plumber’s crack, it is a “slice” of hard work. Yay your pants are too big!!!!
HA! I love the bit about not jumping on purpose for years. Same here, unless a creepy bug hops on me like that praying mantis yesterday. I was hopping and flopping all over.
Yeah, hells yeah on the new clothes! Aren’t looser clothes a wonderful affirming thing? Strangely, they make me feel better than my newer and better fitting clothes. I still equate the snug feeling with the feeling of my pants being a tourniquet 107 pounds ago.
My husband is sent on a DDR mission, to get me it. I will come and whine to you if it’s not all you make it out to be! I have to warn you, I can’t dance, at all. I don’t dance when I go out. My husband had to pay me to dance at our wedding (first and only dance) I’m hoping this will help me to learn to bust a move and shake dat ass.
When you have a minute to sit, elevate those legs and in addition to the Aleve (or whatever you use), slap some wrap around ice packs on for the swollen ankles and knees….on 10 min., off 10 min, etc. Otherwise, WTG and congrats on the loose pants!!!
Haha, I have recently started doing the elliptical, at this gym I just joined, for like 45 min. a day. If I go at night time, which I normally have to, I am facing my reflection in the window while I try to exercise my hardest on the elliptical. I have to see my rolls in the window and listen to them flap if my ipod isn’t turned up. It is almost motivating.
I have never tried DDR. I highly doubt I am coordinated enough to do something like that. I just started reading your blog and noticed you and I had similar starting weights. Have you lost weight from DDR? I want to get a Wii fit but I can’t find them anywhere.
