Solitude.

Today:  274.2 lbs., Activities:  5.67 miles on the real bike.
April Total:  99.92 miles!

I did something this evening that I haven’t done for a long, long time.  I went for a ride on my bike — alone.  Kevin went to church (Wednesday night bible study) with one of his friends, so I had to decide:  skip the exercise tonight?  use the exercise bike instead?  or just bite the bullet and go out there and pedal through the wind alone?

I decided that it was silly to go on being so intimidated by the possibility of running into one of those jerks who cannot look at an overweight person without belittling them.  That’s what was stopping me?  What would I tell one of my children if they told me that?!?  I would say, “Don’t give an asshole that kind of power over you!!!”

Yeah, that’s definitely what I’d say.  LOL.

So I roamed through my neighborhood and through the neighboring neighborhood and I waved at folks in their yards and said hello to folks out walking and climbed hills and coasted down them and was gone for an hour and I have to admit, it was great.  No one to discuss the route with, I just went where ever the front of my bike led me.  I enjoyed the solitude.  I wished at one point that I had brought a book with me, it would have been cool to stop somewhere for a drink and a rest before coming back home.

Oh yeah, I’d definitely do it again.  =)
