Since I will be traveling from very early to very late tomorrow, I decided to pack all my food and take it with me. This way I know I can get what I need when I need it.
Breakfast: I’ll be making a protein shake from OJ, yogurt, protein powder, water and ice. It tastes better [...]

This was my snack meal today and it was yummy. I can see that it is going to be nice to mix the snack meals up between sweet, savory and smoothies. It is also very filling.
1/2 cup hummus (I made fmine from a very easy recipe on allrecipes.com)
2 stalks celery, cut in pieces
1 cup mini carrots [...]

I made this one up because I was craving something simple, more like what I *used to* eat! lol Today, when I ate it and logged it, I was so impressed. It looked and tasted GREAT, made me feel good, and turned out to be very good on counts, too.
You could use unsalted tuna but I [...]

I’m not a real Starbucks person, but not averse to a special coffee now and then either, and when they put Starbucks in Barnes & Nobles… Well, I usually justify my reading and drinking habit with good-for-me green tea. This is one of my favorite getaways.
NOW! Let me be the first to tell you! Starbucks [...]

My first Flat Belly dessert. I knew that chocolate was a MUFA (moly-unsaturated fat), usable at any meal, but just hadn’t gotten around to buying any or choosing a menu with it.
Then, today, I did buy some: bulk dark chocolate chips sweetened with cane at Whole Foods.
Eating my unplanned meal, I realized I hadn’t added [...]

I really did it today. I started the day with too few calories, then ate my snack in lieu of lunch because I had it with me. By the time I next ate a real meal, I didn’t eat what I planned and just winged it, to the tune of 900+ calories (these are supposed [...]

This is a little light-weight but I’m so stuffed from lunch I can’t think what to add. All these will go into my “favorite menu file.”
Breakfast: 1 small orange, 1 cup gluten-free corn flakes, 1 cup Lactaid fat free milk, 2 tbsp. sunflower seeds & a kiwi fruit
Lunch: Large romaine salad with cucumber, radish, celery, [...]

This turned out to be one of the best balanced menus I’ve had, is easy to fix and feels like eating comfort foods. I will definitely use it again.
Breakfast: 1 small orange, 1 cup gluten-free corn flakes, 1 cup Lactaid fat free milk, 2 tbsp. almonds
Lunch: 2 slices sprouted bread, 2 oz. smoked turkey, [...]

1 cup Grape tomatoes, sliced
1 cup Artichoke hearts, canned, low-sodium, chopped chunky
4 oz. Chicken breast, pre-cooked, chopped chunky
.5 cup 1% low-fat Cottage cheese
1 Tbsp. Pesto sauce
Simple but very easy. I made this ahead and think it tasted better for letting the flavors merge. It left me feeling pampered, satisfied and slender. =)
For some reason, these [...]

Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with no fat, 1 slice Ezekiel 4:9 toast, ¼ cup picante sauce, 2 T. black olive tapenade, ½ c. spinach from frozen, ½ grapefruit, 8 oz. Sassy water. (Next time I will skip the tapenade for breakfast and add either 1 T. olive oil or ¼ c. avocado.)
Lunch; Nicoise Salad, (recipe), [...]
