Before and After INSPIRATION!

Posted by: delitaagain In: Inspiration

What a difference! My son picked this out from Crossfit Facebook.

Rosemary did this on Crossfit (my fitness plan) and Paleo (my food plan). Here’s a little more:

Rosemary at Crossfit Tribe (her gym)

She did this in 6 months, faithfully attending her Crossfit gym 5 times per week, eating Paleo with very few cheats, and, losing 50 pounds.

While Rosemary has been doing *my* fitness plan with *my* food plan, I have been doing neither. :-/

What can I say? I don’t believe in excuses after learning that excuses give me permission not to change. And I am changing. See? No more excuses! LOL

I’m also not working out or eating the foods my body likes best. Like good protein, good veggies, nuts and whole fruits. Knowing that way of eating works best for me is what attracted me to Paleo. Having fun and getting results attracted me to Crossfit.

My favorite quote from the comments on Facebook: OMG, I’m on the wrong program lol Great job! Such an inspiration Rosemary!

My challenge to myself: am I going to find the way I can eat right and work out to lose weight?

Play along: What’s your challenge?

UPDATE: I got it wrong. The below pic is 6 months progress and the upper pic is 1 year. She did lose 50 pounds in six months.

Hey, Delita! So good to hear from you!

What an inspiration! Makes me want to get down to the nitty gritty and get it done! I’m going to Hawaii next summer and I’d love to be in a nice bathing suit giving everybody a blue moon! (Reference to my “Blue Moon” post)

My challenge is going to be to get on the straight and narrow and battle to stay there every day! School is full of pizzas and potlucks and long hours that leave me exhausted and not feeling like working out.

Every Day. That’s the challenge.

Hi Delita! Well, I have soo many challenges… But, I had a trainer who said “you can’t out run a bad diet” so my challenge is my keeping my food under 1600 calories per day and staying hydrated by drinking a minimum of 128 ounces of water. Seems simple. But I’ve found if I put too many parameters (like how much carb/fat/protein), I give myself “permission” to go off plan since I already blew it.

Wow, what incredible pictures!

So good to see you pop up here. Many of the regulars have disappeared so it’s nice to see a friendly face.

My challenge sounds strange but it’s to go slightly off-plan w/o completely throw in the towel. The weeks surrounding the beginning of the school year are so chaotic that I know I can’t/won’t be 100% on plan but that doesn’t mean I should be 100% gluttonous (is that a word)?

Hope to see you soon.

I spent some time with my sister this summer and she lost about 100 pounds (she won’t really say) three years ago by eating the good stuff (veggies, fruit, lots of grains) and making herself become active. Even though she was in a bad accident last year and has been off work since she has kept as active as possible and not lost her taste for better food choices. It is about focus and finding joy in the here and now.

Hello Delita!!!!
I was going through my favorites list and noticed Forums, and lo and behold, there you were! I’ll assume you are doing good, haven’t had the chance to scroll back into your posts.
I’ve changed a lot of my eating habits, my weight is staying at 176, but that’s okay because my blood sugars have improved so much. I have eliminated one dose of glimepiride and had a reading of 99 this morning! Plus, I had 2 slices of real pizza last night, go figure!
I bake a lot with almond flour and coconut flour, and that has made a huge difference for me. I use recipes from ‘Elana’s Pantry’ online and her cookbook. My niece and I research the Internet for additional recipes, keeping in mind to keep the carbs lower. Everytime I see Elana’s site, her Paleo recipes remind me of you!!
I hope to find some time to read your passed posts, but at a quick glance I saw 2 from 2011, so I hope you are okay? I keep busy with my crafting, and have branched out with making handbag hangings and wine glass charms. I’ll have my first table at an adoption/rescue fair at my vet’s place. The charms I use will be geared towards pet themes. I just want to explore more options of what I love doing, and that is crafting. I never would have expected to be considered a crafter, and only started 2 years ago this month of May, WOW!
Well, I think I’ve bored you more than I should have, so I hope to hear from you soon.
Sandi ♥
