Re-thinking for the Weekend

Posted by: delitaagain In: New Me

Things seem to be slowing down and that’s just fine with me. I managed to stay up all night after a prayer meeting last night and then women’s prayer this morning was good, too. Now I’m ready to *lax back.* I may walk a few minutes, and for sure will get at least a couple glasses of water in.

And God has been good to me. Remember I finished up my fish stew yesterday? Well, makings for more soup/stew showed up today, praise God. I’ll let you know what it is after I get it made. =)

For breakfast I had a small serving of oatmeal with a little molasses, three eggs soft boiled and a chicken patty, a mocha before and a decaf after. Yum.

Here’s a quick review of my New Me Weight Plan. You know how I need to keep these things in front of my eyes to *get* them.

1.  If we have our eyes on the problem, the problem will increase. So, I keep my eyes on the solution (150 pounds).

2.  The Bible says, in Isaiah 55:1c:

Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.

3.  Philippians 4:13 says:

I can do all things through the One who is strengthening me.

So I’m seeing myself at 150 pounds, listening for the Lord to lead me into eating good and remembering I can do everything through the strength of the One who strengthens me. And drinking water and walking some. =) Sounds like a plan!

This afternoon I’m heading to a new women’s fellowship starting up at my church, with fun, food and new friends, I trust. Good plans for a cloudy and cold February day.

Play along: What is one thing you are doing for fun this week-end?

Well, we got hit with that snow storm that’s been all over the news! The side of the house has 4 ft. drifts, the snow has stopped 3 hours ago and the town hasn’t plowed our streets yet. We weren’t planning on going out anyway, but we did shovel our driveway, and I hope that counts as exercise because I’m exhausted! We had to shovel a path for our dog so she could get to the grass area to do her business. I just love watching her in the snow, that’s the fun I’m having this weekend. ;)

It’s pouring all weekend so the most “fun” thing I can do this weekend is play cafe world on facebook lol!

If you can think it you can achieve it! I’m seeing myself at 135 pounds! :D

Wow, Sandi - I would enjoy that snow! I agree that shoveling for sure counts as exercise, and, watching a dog play in the snow sure counts as fun! Enjoy your snow days! Delita
