Water and Walking

Posted by: delitaagain In: New Me

So, I’m feeling better. Better than when? Better than when I was craving everything and eating candy, yuk, drinking soft drinks, eating just plain too much. Not that long ago… just last year and early this year. Less than a month ago. And I’m down at least a size. At least my pants fit!

I’m not craving, I’m eating reasonable portions and not snacking. And I don’t feel like a total lump. I feel good!

But I’m not really drinking water, and not exercising,… not even spending time outside. Silly while living in a camper.

Yesterday, I did walk around the neighborhood where I parked. Lessee… Walmart, Dollar Tree, Aldi,… Can you really count this as a walk? I probably walked 4 blocks. Better than nada. Beautiful day!

So my goal today is to walk. Like, in the woods. Or at least somewhere nice.

And, goal two: drink some water. Water without anything. I have one of those pure water pitchers; I should use it! LOL By the way the fish stew was even much more tasty the second day, flavors blended. YUM!

Play along: How much water do you drink? Or, do you walk?

I should drink more water during the day, but I drink a lot at night. I have done that since I was a kid. I walk, too, and just love to get outside at least 3 times a week for a walk. The dog likes it too!

I am the world’s worst at drinking water. And I have been getting zero exercise, including walking. I want to make that change, but I am totally unmotivated in the uck weather. But I guess i could tackle the water issue while waiting for spring, lol. thanks for the push : )

I thought you were going to tell us you’d been walking on water! ;) I drink lots of water but haven’t quite gotten back into exercise mode. I’m using tomorrow, national wear red day, for womens heart health awareness, as a good reason to get with it!

Well, you know we joined the fitness center after the trial period ended, so I’ve decided to do 4 days a week of the aquatic exercise classes. I enjoy that the most! I tried the chair yoga, but found it didn’t work for me. With my neck issues and a torn rotator cuff, I was limited to doing some of the stretches. It was uncomfortable both physically and mentally for me.
As for drinking water, I’m good with that. I’m going to estimate a good 48 ounces per day (not including water from tea or my morning coffee).

tiny2be, LOL! Me too! Today I’m drinking water but haven’t walked - it has been raining since 6:30AM and it is 34 degrees out there. YIKES! Maybe after this storm passes…

Sandi - congrats on the gym membership and even more important, you found and are doing what works for you. I bet you do see some important changes over time. Yea on the water, too! See, you were ahead of me on both. =)
