It is the New Me Weight Plan, and it is based on two things.
1. The idea that if we have our eyes on the problem, the problem will increase.
2. The Bible verse that says:
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. Isaiah 55:1c
Those are the first two principles of the New Me Weight Plan.
One is keeping my eyes off the problem and on the solution (because that is the one I want to work in my life).
Two is listening to the Lord and doing what He says.
I believe that when He says, “Listen to me and you will eat what is good,” He means more than just “let me tell you my thoughts.”
Think of it like talking to a teenager who is sitting there hearing your voice but letting what you say go in one ear and out the other. He isn’t listening to what you because he has no intention of following up or doing what you are trying to get across. He isn’t changed by it.
If I listen to the Lord and do what He says, I believe I will eat what is good, my health will improve and my weight will normalize.
So the first two steps are about where I have my eyes and ears.
Play along: what do you have your eyes on most of the day?
