Weigh-in: Week 29, Renewed Vigor!

Loss this week: 1.2 pounds. This is a three-week average of 1.9, a nine-week average of 1.7 which is about my overall average. Loss for the Month of February: 5.6 pounds. I am 7.8 pounds above the halfway point, my next goal. Loss since August 10: 48.4; total loss: 67.2; pounds to goal: 82.8.

The averages don’t reveal there was actually a downward trend in the last month, but I am looking for the cause. So far I’m seeing:

  • May be eating too few calories again.
  • May be eating too few meals.
  • May have needed to increase calories when starting back on workouts.
  • Water drinking is way down and need to get that back.

Today, I ate a smaller breakfast earlier and plan to work on eating *something* every 3-4 hours. I had almost cut out snacking at night but eating dinner late was happening too often.

My diet has gone to almost all lean protein, green veggies and fruits with a few nuts and seeds and a little cheese. I do occasionally have a *treat* of whatever is special or served up, and occasionally buy a candy bar.

I’m really thinking the too few calories or meals per day is the big culprit, so will let you know how my change in that area today is working. Working out is going great!

tjnorth, right you are! I’m so thrilled to be creeping up on 7 months. I’m really seeing this as being *all the way* and *for the rest of my life* this time. My focus now is to not lose focus!! Delita

I like that ‘my focus now is to not lose focus’! I didn’t blog yet about my progress, but first week weigh-in was 4 pounds lost, and 1/4″ from waist. I think with the addition of some kind of exercise/movement the inches should come off quicker. Delita, do you write down your blog before posting here, or is it right off the top of your head?

im also having issues with not getting enouph calories some days. Its sort of crazy that not enouph food would ever be a problem for me. lol. I dont think I get enouph protein either. It looks like you have it under control girl!!

Sandi, YEA!! You go, woman! I especially like the 1/4″ from the waist. I don’t write my blog before writing here, but do go back and edit each post kinda mercilessly before posting (or after - lol). Lots of writing experience, though, so writing usually comes pretty naturally for me. If I have something *important* to say, I don’t hesitate to write a draft and the re-draft and re-draft until I’m happy with it. Interesting question. How about you? Delita

hveeck, understand. I must have good protein. Yet, I had gotten to where I just wasn’t eating but once or twice a day and not getting enough. If I will eat more often, and keep eating good food, I should get okay. I do NOT do well on low protein, no way. We can do this! Delita

29 weeks is AWESOME — and so (as always) is your attitude. It could be too few calories, or just that you have to do something to shake things up. I remember once breaking a three-week stall by eating a Snickers bar :)

You are doing so great! I, too, have a dream to be fit by my birthday in 2010! My birthday is in June, so I have more than a year left to go but it still seems like it’s zooming in too quick!
