Weigh-in: Week 28, Another Milestone!

Posted by: delitaagain In: Weigh-In!!

Okay, I’m claiming a 1.2 pound loss this week because I saw it on the scale once. =) That is 1.2 for the week and 66 grand total pounds lost. See my new 65 pound badge on the left.

My appetite seems to have decreased and I am trying to eat more often. I had gotten to where I was eating one big meal and one small meal or snack, and that’s not good. I’m eating earlier and trying to have two good meals (breakfast and lunch) then light or very light dinner or snack. Let you know how this works…

This puts me *only* 9 pounds from the half-way mark, and, *just* 84 pounds to go. It has been *over one hundred* to go for so long that anything in the eighties sounds just plain wrong, and, small. But, I will get used to this.

I’d sure like to make the halfway mark before heading back to NC, which should be coming up pretty soon here. In any case, it is time to start looking for some new clothes. I used a thin rope to hold up my jeans yesterday. Just call me *Ellie Mae!* LOL

What mental change are you having to get used to?

Great news again, Delita! Your never ending weight loss reports have inspired me to get back in gear. I started back on low-glycemic eating this passed Saturday, and already my blood sugar is dropping everyday! I’m thrilled about it, and it only reinforces that way of eating for me. I have a small breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner, and dessert. It’s working for me, so I’m getting used to eating every 2 or so hours, but small amounts. It’s a new way of eating for me, but if I can get off of my diabetic pills I’ll stick with it! Of course I’ll weigh in weekly and keep track of my waist measurement. I’m starting off small with the exercise department this weekend. I wanted to get the food part into gear before embarking on exercise. Anyway, I just wanted to update you on how you are a positive influence on me and a lot of other people who comment on your blogs! Thank you Delita, from the bottom of my heart - Sandi

Congratulations, Delita! You’re rockin!

What mental change am I having to get used to? Hmmm…the fact that I’ve lost enough weight and worked out so much that my ankle is a kazillion times better than it was a year ago and that means I can wear dressy shoes again and that means I can dress up again and that means I feel much more professional at work!

Patty, I know just what you mean. Remember, I sprained my right ankle twice in 2007, four months apart. Badly both times. I’m just now really comfortable back in heels and not the highest heels but *normal.* I credit the foot drills I read about on CrossFit for a lot of it and still hope to get back more strength and flexibility. And really enjoy being able to dress non-frumpy more easily! lol Good one! Delita
