Working Out Again! (Sung to the tune of “On the Road Again”)

Thanks to my back-from-Iraq son, I’ve done CrossFit two days this week and plan to again tomorrow. Currently I am *pleasantly* sore in arms and upper legs, a good place to be.

It is amazing how much of the ground I gained in the few months I did CrossFit is still hanging tough. I can still do full squats, I can run and I can lift heavy things! WooHoo! At last!!! lol Just had to share…

It has been the better part of four months since doing real workouts.

I just looked up your past crossfit post and then went to the website. Is it free? Do you actually find local get togethers to do you just do the exercises on your own? I’ll have to look into the details when I have more time. Sounds like you’re doing really well, congrats!

Inkheartmeg, it is free - unless you subscribe to the journal (well worth it but huge amounts are free anyway) or join or attend sessions at a CF gym. And many have free intro sessions, some have free Saturday sessions. I have done most of mine at home on fairly limited equipment. It is known for adaptability to any circumstances and using everyday stuff as equipment. It is really very interesting, but also the most fun and effective plan. So glad my son got me into it! I also use the forum for much info and encouragement, much like using this blog for diet support. GREAT community! Let me know what you think! Daily workouts are posted on the website, but they are scaled back elsewhere to any level of ability. My level is *buttercup!* lol Delita

Yeah! Good for you. I’m on my way to being back on track as well. Thank your son for serving our country; it is greatly appreciated. My daughter is in the Navy and we’re going to Ill. next weekend for her graduation from basic. I can hardly wait to get that girl in my arms. They might have to pry me loose!

kt, weekend was good, thanks. CrossFit is my workout program. There is a link at the top of my page, and, it is BY FAR the most fun and effective workout plan on the planet. =) Delita
