I really expected a gain this week, or at least not a loss. My eating included wheat about 4 days which not only usually causes bloat and weight gain but is a trigger food that leads to cravings and poor food choices. I’m talking a pound of dark chocolate, a piece of pizza, several pieces of quiche with crust and several oreos. Also honey in my tea several times. Hmmmm. And still no exercise.
Yet - I lost 1.6 pounds, down to 244.6. I think I weighed six times because I really hadn’t expected this. I MADE IT INTO THE LOW 240ies!!! WOOHOO! I literally cannot remember these numbers except that they came about ‘96-97. This is a total loss of 55.4 pounds so far, so I got a new badge (see left side)! 36.6 pounds down from my starting point last August.
I’m in awe. This is the grace of God AND a testament to how much good it will do to simply make good choices most of the time. Because, yes, that is what I am doing. This weekend I’m living off some stew I made with chicken and lentils (plus carrots, celery, garlic, onions, tomatoes, hot peppers). Yep, Chicken Lentil Stew. Get it?? The sky is falling! LOL
Today my DGD made some guacamole and I took time to make some toast tips from sprouted bread so I wouldn’t get into the wheat they were eating with it. Yum! Then I had my stew. =)
The stew is not bad and yesterday my DDIL brought home more groceries with fruit, eggs, chicken livers, etc. so I am good to go, no excuses, this coming week. Now I’m back to watching CrossFit videos online to get myself stirred up for exercise.
What did you do good for yourself last week?
