Weigh-in: Week 7

Posted by: delitaagain In: Weigh-In!!

Slowing down here. It was a really up and down week, food wise. I never did get shopping done for things I needed (like fish, veggies, etc.) and ended up really eating a lot of whatever, fast food, etc. Still, calories averaged out-ish, which means I didn’t eat enough some days, which kinda balanced the days I went over.

All in all, new weight 265.6, down .2 for the week.

Besides my food choice mis-steps, I’m really doing better at the working out, so may be laying in a little muscle. In any case, I’m sure feeling better and moving better and clothes are fitting a lot better, if not getting “too loose.” We’re in this for the long haul.

Meanwhile, I’m starting to research two new diets to see what I can glean and incorporate. Loving this!

Hey Delita - I know what you are talking about with the clothes fitting better/looser. Yesterday I had a surprise Belated birthday party for my husband (which had been in the works for 7 weeks). Trying to keep this from Frank, did a toll on me emotionally during that planning stage. I hadn’t really stuck with the program, but have managed to keep the weight off that I lost. When I put the pants on that I was supposed to wear yesterday, they were too loose! So I had to dig out another older pair that had previously been tight, and they were a little loose too. I ended up wearing the older pair anyway. We had a great time and I ate a little bit of everything, even cake. Surprisingly this morning my blood sugar was 123, which is a great reading for me. Back to your original post, having clothes fit better is more important to me than the actual weight, since I did get tons of compliments yesterday, that’s what people see, your appearance.
Muscle is a good thing!
talk to you soon - Sandi

I know what you mean, Sandi - it so depresses me to see people in the gym focused on how many calories they can burn. If we had to depend on that we would never lose! But I’m looking, feeling, moving better - and that is something worthwhile! Good to see you, and congrats on your loss! Delita
