Today I’m thinking about having a dream and *wanting it.* Not having a dream is like not having a destination when you leave the house. That can be fun sometimes, but not when you want to get somewhere. And I’m thinking I need a specific dream, just like it helps to have a specific destination.
So, I need a dream. And, I need to want it. I need desire. Motivation.
Today I learned I can be miserable or I can get motivated. It’s my choice.
If you’re not motivated, it’s your own fault. You are in charge of you.
I need to get out there and find out what motivates me and then go after it, get me some.
I think I am doing some things that motivate me, like blogging and reading and talking with people who are doing this or who have already changed their whole lives.
But I need to really know: these are the things that motivate me. And then make sure I make those a priority so that I can stay motivated.
If I’m not motivated, it’s my own fault. When my “why” becomes strong enough I’ll find the “how.”
I got this thinking straight out of the book I referenced earlier, Staging Your Comeback by Christopher Hopkins, the Makeover Guy. I highly recommend it for women who are ready for the “Act Two” of their lives.
What’s your dream?
