Introspection: Who Am I? Epiphany - Take 2!

Posted by: delitaagain In: Introspection

When I blogged about finding my style or image in Staging Your Comeback I was left with a slightly uncomfortable feeling in my mouth, like I hadn’t said it all quite right. So I went back to the book after a couple days and came to entirely new conclusions. We are nothing if not flexible! LOL

I was thinking I’m an *innovative* but now realize that’s not it. After re-reading and re-thinking, I’m at peace with my self image as:

Natural but sharp,

Classy but relaxed,

Innovative and fun.

How do you like them apples? ;-)

This means, I am a:

Casual,

Innovative

Classic,

with dashes of…

Dramatic, and

Alluring!

Wow. Now I feel comfortable. That mix fits. I am supposed to use these to help me identify things that fit my self image or share these words with any any who are trying to help me express me. (Hair, make-up, home, etc.)

I must say I earned the *alluring* by identifying with the word *fun,* but I’m not quite sure we have the same kinds of *fun* in mind! LOL

This is actually a mix of five different image styles, but it takes all of them to *catch* who I am. So, I am also a bit complicated, I guess, to which my friends would probably be the first to say, “Duh!”

Now, I’m re-reading the book from the beginning to make sure I haven’t missed anything else before forging ahead and trying to learn how to apply all this.

As you might guess, I am having fun! And I am compiling a whole list of books  to get further into learning to be the person I always thought I was but never looked (and seldom lived) like.

How would you describe your image of yourself?

Boy/girl, I am CHANGING! LOL

Lol. Yeah. I’m actually a single mom, so that makes it more “fun”. She loves to “work out” herself with my stretch band. “Momma… look me, I strong and so tall!” (I measured her hand to hand one time because I heard your height is same as the length from one hand to the other. and I told her WOW, you are sooo tall… and she uses the stretching band like measuring tape. lol. There was one point when she could do push-ups better than me, and she is only 2 yrs old! haha…

Sounds like you’ll be camping out at Barnes and Noble! When you compile a list of books that have had a positive effect and change for you (other than the Bible, we already know that one) please post them. Getting that self-confidence built has so much impact on everything else in our lives!
I haven’t been into reading those kinds of books since the 70’s when I truly needed them the most. They can’t hurt at this stage in my life. I’m hitting the big ‘Six-Oh’ in November. I don’t feel it or look it either, and don’t think this next decade is any different than those before me. I think I’ve even mellowed with age.
talk to you soon ~~~ Sandi
