Wake-up Call - Too much food!

Posted by: delitaagain In: Planning

Last night I didn’t get home and get dinner cooked until 11:00 PM. I was a little behind on timing all day. Dinner was a chicken leg w/o skin, brown rice with mushrooms & onions sauted in olive oil, and broccoli. About 600 calories, all foods I really like. I couldn’t eat it all.

I had planned to eat the same thing again today after church (easier on the menu planning) and then have a salad for supper.

But after church I opted for Barnes & Noble (my new second home) and ended up having a banana & chocolate Vivanno with an extra serving of protein powder and 2 tablespoons of walnuts (I always carry a MUFA in my purse now). Totally legal as a meal, just not on the menu.

I didn’t go home then, and if I don’t go eat again right now, won’t be back until 10:30 PM or so tonight, due to meetings from 5:30 to 10:00.

The moral of the story is I think I avoided going home to avoid having to eat all that food. So. I need to drop back to 400 calorie menus and eat more times a day, and maybe make one meal a day a protein shake. Planning menus I won’t eat doesn’t help at all!

There sure is a lot to learn!

Hey Delita - That is working better for me to have smaller meals and in-between mini-meals (snacks so to speak). I can keep on an even keel throughout the day, and keep my energy up.
I know that feeling of going too long between eating, and then devouring my food so quickly. Not good before bedtime either.
I love reading your posts, you are a role model for me, even though we are on different plans, the end result is the same!
I still haven’t gotten back to exercising/dancing since I pulled a lower stomach muscle. It has improved but I can still feel a twinge if I move differently.
Once I can get back to moving around, I know the weight and inches results will be better. I’m happy with how it’s going so far, and it’s also without the recommended supplements. I don’t like to be bombarded with too much change, so one thing at a time.
take care ~~~ Sandi

Good to see you - you sound great! Scary to think I might be a role model, I’m still struggling to get this together! LOL I hear ya own the exercising/dancing - you will feel better when you can but glad you feel good with what you’ve gotten because it’s great! I’m eating enough protein to go 4 or more hours between meals, but just to eat that much more is overwhelming. I guess my appetite has adjusted to the 400 calorie meals which is good. I’m learning so much! I’ll try to keep posting on the highlights. It is kind of interesting to chronicle it. Delita
