Introspection: My Wants

Posted by: delitaagain In: Introspection

  • To feel good about my looks.
  • To be irreproachable with my fitness and ability to move and do things. (No more excuses!)
  • To have an active life doing fun, rewarding things, being able to enjoy activities, myself & others, and being able to be enjoyed by others. No more spectating from the nearest picnic bench!
  • To be able to do (physically) anything I want to do.
  • To have my appearance be an asset rather than a liability. (No need to be *hot* but just make folks comfortable and feel good.)

I will have to guard against thinking that being right-sized and active equates automatically to a busy, happy life. But then, even starting to head more in that direction gives me a busier, happier life. Okay!

What are your wants?

Great post!

My wants are basically the same as yours. Only if I wrote my own out it’d be terribly long winded and not so beautifully succinct as yours.

I’ll try not to blather on:

#1 for me would be “To be able to do (physically) anything I want to do.” as you said. I’ve always wanted to run, long distances. To me that would be the ultimate feeling of freedom. Like the dreams I had of flying as a child.
#2 would be to feel great about how I look as well.
#3 no limits because of my size.

Thanks! Ah ha! You win the succint competition! lol Your list would have worked just as well for me, so I win the blathering on trophy. ;-) Delita

Oh, they make some prett ones… just not the ones you want. I am getting so not nostalgic about finally losing the weight and getting back to the *real* me.
