When I finally started drinking soft drinks regularly they quickly became my nemesis. I gained weight and especially belly fat faster than at any other time.
Looking back, several times my food has been good and working for me. Then, I started feeling like I could slip in an occasional soft drink or so. Ha.
This seems to be the #1 way I’ve gone off my food and back to out of control weight gain. From now on I will be much more vigilant about thinking “just one” (or even a few here and there) “cheat drinks” won’t hurt when I’m “doing so well.”
I’m starting to understand that what I drink is part of the food I’m on.
