This thought came to me today while I was musing on getting back to my dearly beloved CrossFit (fitness plan).
To Do Anything Is a Start
I’m seeing it in terms of how we complicate our lives and goals. Old me would think I would have to have some big plan and do some list - a least a little list - to start getting back into the swing of CrossFit.
But, Noooooo! If I do anything, I make a start! WooHoo!
And I happened to notice tomorrow (Saturday) is a rest day. Every 4th day is a rest day on CrossFit because of the intensity.
And my day was pretty full tomorrow already, so if it had not been a rest day, then… voilà! I would have had my excuse! You know all we need is an excuse to get out of something. ;-p
But tomorrow is a rest day.
And, if I do anything it is a start.
So I don’t have to start with a 10-minute walk or a 15 minute warm-up, much less even a heavily modified work-out.
I can start with 5 minutes.
Or I can start with two minutes! 2. Such a sweet number.
Oh, the freedom of not having an excuse!
Now, if I don’t do it, I have no excuse. The whole world, even me, will be able to see that:
I simply did not want to.
Which is the truth. I only needed an excuse to cover up the real reason.
I think I will.
I may.
I might.
Stay tuned!
Wouldn’t that be a hoot! LOL Gramma back on CrossFit even before losing more weight or getting in better shape or coming up with other excuses. (There are so many, ripe for the picking!)
Ah, but that’s another post!
To Do Anything Is a Start
This thought will change my life.
