Week 18-20, Progress Update

The past 2.5 weeks has been a critical hit to my diet and life. I have been sick. I have an upper respitory infection which gave way to me just being lazy.  All of that has brought me today. Ultimately, I think being sick gave me an excuse to be lazy. So I am back on it today.  I have gained 4 pounds.  I am also on my period. I have high hopes I am even…but even is bad after a two week period. It is my sincerest hope that week 21 brings me progress.  So keep sending uplifting vibes my way.

Take care,

Marcella

I started at 373 16 weeks ago. I am currently at 329. I work out 5-7 days a week and eat under 1,500 calories most days. My goal is to reach 165. I am on my way and 25% done. I enjoy hearing about the experiences of others. I will share any information that may be helpful to you. Hope for the same.

This was a fantastic week. I did three amazing things. On Wednesday I burned 3881 calories. On Saturday I burned 3992 calories. When I jumped on the scale today I was down to 329 pounds after consuming a pot of coffee and breakfast. I think I may be down a few more pounds. I will reweigh on an empty stomach. I am reinvigorated AGAIN! Each day I will strive to hit the 3700-3900 calorie range. It really was not that much more work. I increased my calorie burn by 35-45%. Photos coming.

I only made it to the gym 4 times this week. I did not bother getting on the scale. I had a training session this week that kicked my butt. I did balancing on a bozu ball platform. I did a bunch of squats. The workout left my legs sore for four days. I did not like that. I need to have a talk with the trainer. Diet was off a bit. I went out to eat on four occasions. This is not typical. I am back on it this week.

Dating, dieting and exercise do not mix. I need to adjust my thinking and reaffirm my goals. Other than going out…I enjoy going out with this incredible gentlemen. I will call him RW for now. Still getting to know him.

During this week I have an anomoly to my dieting. I was able to make it to the gym but I actually met a guy right before NY and we went on a few dates. I did not see any marked progress on the scale. I feel stronger though. The trainer made me do boot camp style working out this week. I was surprised I could actually do it. It was great. No weight loss is noted for this period. I think the dinners out have to stop. I am not disappointed. I am okay with it. No gains..I am okay.

Due to the holidays, laziness, me being me at times. I only was able to work out 4 times this week. Christmas also brought me my monthly surprise. So with all of those excuses being stated. I am down 39 lbs.   The two pound loss is a bit “UGH1″, but I am still moving in the right direction. Very happy about that.   No trainer this week. Next planned “photo shoot” will be week 14.  Trying to space them out.

It is funny since I began this journey, the one thing that I continually receive compliments on is my freakin hair.  My non-scientific analysis has concluded that my face is actually getting smaller, therefore, my hair looks fabulously huge.   What to you think about them apples?

This week has been interesting. I caught up with my Weight Loss Kindred Spirit. I gave him an update.  He was proud of me.  He has lost 130 lbs in a year. A YEAR.  He is going to hit his final year end weight loss goal of 150 lbs in mid January.  You have to see how much this guy has changed.  www.344pounds.com

Me, An Example?

Today I went to the gym. I burned 635 calories doing 45 minutes on the elliptical.  Very nice. It felt good. When I was finished my trainer was sitting with another client and asked me to join. He told his client that I was one of his best people. He said she just burned over 600 calories in 45 minutes. She has also lost 37 lbs in a very short period of time.  The lady look astonished.  I told her I have a long way to go but I am well on my way.

It felt good for him to use me as an example of ambition and persistence. Thank you Luis!

                     11 Week Scale

I had a decent week with my diet, however, I did not have as much opportunity to work out as I wanted.  I am still grateful for the loss of  3 pounds this week.  I made a guy at the gym take a picture of the scale because it felt great to drop below the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s and 40’s….I am now officially in the 30’s mind you I am still 337 pounds but it is a long way from where I began! I am knocking at the door of the 40 pound loss and I am quite confident it will answer! Yippee!

I have been working on me for about 9 weeks now. I have lost 33 of my 208 pound goal. I have kept my blog private.  I decided today, that I should share my thoughts as I am sure I will be successful. From the beginning to now my level of commitment is unwavering. The feeling is different than anything I have felt my entire life. I hope my blog could be of assistance to anyone. I realize I am still early in this process but I feel so inspired. I also hope that others who are on a similar journey can push me along.

Thank you!
