I am having a wonderful day. Workwise it has been one of those “one step forward two steps backwards” kind of days but the prayer group met today and I feel like dancing. I also feel really good about myself. Okay, so I haven’t lost any weight, but look at how far I have walked. I feel strong and healthy, like for once I am in control of my body.
Confession time: I haven’t done any training for the 5k in over a week. Maybe later this week, once we begin the actual performances, I will have time again to run.
Another weekend bust

Well, so much for us taking a run together. Another weekend where I ate too much and exercised too little. Oh well, no use crying over spilt milk. At least it is nice out today and it is supposed to be beautiful all week. I even saw that it might reach 70 one day!! Whoop whoop. However with the craft fair this week and the show coming up soon, my days are going to be very long. But I am determined to fit in my training.
Yesterday I noticed that my thighs have gotten bigger. At first I was really upset, since my legs are the last place I gain weight. So if my butt and thighs are growing than I must really be getting fat. Then I realized it wasn’t fat but muscle! Running up all those hills is really starting to change my body. Soon, the all the fat surrounding those thigh muscles will drop off and I will be slim and toned (at least that is what I hope!).
Bad, bad me

I didn’t exercise last night (sound of me slapping my hand). As a punishment, I think I should double my workout tonight — yup that is what I am going to do. That will teach me never to skip again!
So I made lentil soup last night, I thought it could use some egg chunks. When you make egg drop soup, you pour a thin stream of egg into the boiling broth and it forms those ribbons of egg. Well it didn’t quite work the same when there is already lentils in the broth. It tastes great but I think most people would lose their appetite by the sight of it.

My day has been so stressful and I did what I always do when my days are like this — I turned to the vending machine.
