ONEderland!!!!!

My mom is here for the holiday, and I’ve been off plan quite a bit.  However, today I went running and then stepped on the scale.  I have reached ONEderland!

What 22 lbs feels like

The office where I work tends to be the place in the building where “stuff” gets delivered or waits to be picked up.  Because the person who schedules the recitals for the School of Music is also in my office, we tend to have lots of technology stuff lying about.

For the past two days there was a grey box and a strange bright orange thing laying on top of said box.  I couldn’t figure out what it was.  Yesterday, the recording engineer came in to collect those two items.

“What is that?”  I inquired of the bright orange thing.

“That’s a weight to keep a mic stand from toppling over.  I guess it’s about 25 lbs or so.”

He’s a coworker that has been very complimentary of my progress, and is also a runner, so he cajoles and asks about my running.  He’s also one of the people that called me skinny the other week.

He continued, “Want to see how heavy it is?” as he handed me the weight.

I took it and couldn’t believe how heavy it was.  Yet that exact amount was what I carried around on my body.

Progress.

I may not be losing as fast (or keeping up with the plan as strictly), but I am managing.  I should hit ONEderland this month.  I’m very excited about that.

Don’t have too much time to write.  I’ve been meandering (not particularly on plan, not running much) over the last two weeks.  I have still managed to lose some weight.  Not too shabby.  Will be kicking it back in high gear once work stress is slightly alleviated.
