I did it!
I hung in there yesterday and stuck to my eating plan. In all honesty once I made up my mind to do it it wasn’t that hard, making the decision was the tough part. I kept myself busy and when I was tempted I reminded myself of the part of the movie where the guy starts knocking the bricks out of his wall and moves forward. I saw a thinner version of myself on the other side waving me on. And I’m pleased to say that I saw 236.2 on the scale this morning, a loss of 1 pound for the week. I also dropped .3% in body fat. Considering my binge on Friday and my reduced exercise due to my foot I’ll take it.
My foot is still bothering me so I think I’m going to call the doctor tomorrow. It’s funny, normally I’ll tough anything out but when it interferes w/my ability to get on that treadclimber I want it fixed NOW! I just hope I can get in fairly quickly. When I went for my heel last summer it took nearly a month to get in and that was during the summer when I can have daytime appts. Hopefully the stars will align and I can get in ASAP.
If my son takes a nap this morning I’m going to do pilates again. I’m going to have awesome abs if I have to keep working out w/o shoes
After that it’s time to prepare for the Superbowl, GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People always think that I’m a bandwagon fan since I’m in the midwest but I started liking Pittsburgh when I was little b/c my brother liked them and I idolized him. Then, the more I watched the more I liked them on my own. I hope they win b/c I bet all of my students on Friday that they would (they get extra credit if the Steelers lose if they did their homework and if I win they all have to wear signs on their shirts that say I was right.)
Days on plan in January: 23
Progress toward workout goal: 171172/250
I was able to get in 35 minutes of a pilates DVD. It’s a different one than I normally use and I’m glad I found it since I think I might have to adjust my workouts for a while. I tried on shoes again this morning and although it wasn’t as painful as it was last week it still hurt. So for now I’m going to focus on pilates, weight lifting and recumbent bike until I have had a chance to visit the doc. I really hope this isn’t anything serious.
