Slowing down
Today was a wonderful, relaxing day. The last few days at school have been chaotic yet fun but keeping track of middle school kids in several locations throughout a school is exhausting. Today we did some more mundane things but it was nice to just let the kids work and chat a bit with them. Plus, we’re having a thunderstorm move through and I just love spring storms. Yes, I know it’s still winter but let a girl dream, will you?
After school I decided to do only cardio at the gym b/c I have to workout before school (ugh, 4 am) and it’s easier to do weights at home. I put in 10 minutes on the bike before the treadclimber became available and then did my 30 minutes on that. Afterward I had 15 minutes left before I had to go home so I tackled the elliptical again. I’m really starting to like that machine.
Last night was kind of crazy. I watched “Ghost Hunters International” before bed which is never a good idea. I don’t watch it often but they found a ton of ghosts in a French chalet. Then I was having a dream that I was interviewing a man in prison who would rob people in their homes and then murder them while they slept. During this dream I woke up b/c I heard the crinkle of a grocery bag. My immediate thought was that I had a ghost or the murderer had come from my dream to pay me a visit. Turns out that a pile of stuff fell down (long story, we’re remodeling so we have piles EVERYWHERE) but good luck falling back to sleep after that. I considered getting up and doing pilates but I was too warm in my bed. Hopefully tonight will be more restful
Days on plan this month: 4
Progress toward workout goal: 181/250
I love relaxing days… it must have been nice considering your last blog was titled busy, busy, busy.
What channel is ghost hunters international on? I haven’t heard about it but it sounds like a show I might be into.
LOL
That so reminds me of when I was young (teen) and my girlfriends and I decided to go to see “Friday the 13th”. I had summer church camp 2 weeks later! Our cabin was up the thickly tree’d hill from the bathrooms. I had to go in the middle of the night. Need I say more???? Funny now scared the crap out of me then! LOl Just thought I’d share.
GOOD for you on the workout! You are really doing well . That is after being so ill. Good job!
Have a great weekend!

Oh yeah- I scare myself too- I love Ghost hunters and GHI! But I don’t get as scared now.
There is a site I visit that has all sorts of scary stories that people put up (they are supposed to be true personal experiences) and those freak me out!
I used to like those kind of things when I was younger. Probably because I didn’t think it was real, just fanasty. Somewhere along the line, I became a Christian and got to know the Lord. Well, I don’t believe in ghosts, but do believe there are demons all around us. You walk with the Lord though and he’ll protect you. So those times where I was imagining things in the dark no long get to me. I push it aside. Back off devil, you have nothing on me now.
That said, I have seen a coupe movies, The Ring, was certainly creepy and interesting. But the last time I tried to watch the Exorcist (because I liked it as a kid) I nearly freaked out and couldn’t forget about it for days. Now why in the WORLD did my mom let us watch that when we were kids? What WAS she thinking? I’d be afraid my kids would have nightmares for the rest of their childhood. I guess she knew it didn’t scare us.
By the way, I have seen ghosthunters and they make a pretty convincing story. Almost enough to make a nonbeliever become a believer.
