Sunday
Got up early this morning and did 30 minutes of pilates while my son was getting his breathing treatment. I plan to go to the gym as soon as my hubby snowblows our driveway and use the treadclimber. Part of me thinks “Screw it, the 1000 calories or so that you’re going to burn won’t make a bit of difference when you’re shoveling food in as fast as it can go down.” But I’m going to do it anyway. I have to start making smarter choices. My goal is to actually go to the gym 3x this week instead of working out at home, I’ll workout at home the other days. Then I’m going to paint our bathroom. We’re redoing our bedroom and master bath and I was able to get everything taped yesterday so I’m going to paint the bathroom today. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I did workout this morning so I’m going to update my workout goal but I will update here after I go to the gym.
Progress toward workout goal: 140/250
4:30
I made it to the gym and did my hour on the treadclimber. Then I went to the store to buy spackle and then “had” to buy some dark chocolate peanut M&M’s (they were 50% off) and Oreos. I have been wanting Oreos for about a month, I couldn’t hold out any longer. I felt like a complete idiot, still sweaty in my workout clothes, buying junkfood.
Then I finished the bathroom and I think it’s going to look great. I can’t tell right now b/c the power is shut off since my hubby is switching out the light fixture and there are live wires exposed but by the vanishing daylight it looks good. It will be nice to see the bedroom done w/the new artwork and bedspread. I love painting…you can completely change the look of a room for very little money.
the good news is I think painting counts as exercise
hehehe
You know you are really making progress when you start worrying about all the things you are not doing right and start focusing on the one or few you can do today and feel pleased with those. You go, girl! The secret to getting off the *bad* foods is eating more of the *good* foods. All this and a new bathroom! WooHoo! Happy New Year! Delita
It is so hard to be home and out of a normal routine. My eating hasn’t been the best either. But, at least you are staying on track with the exercise. Good job! Getting to the gym is half the battle (or the whole battle in my case… I love it when I actually go!).
You make me laugh. I am the same way. I went out today and bought two bags of DOVE dark chocolate (They were 50% off!) Can’t pass up a good deal. Honestly, the hubby and kids will eat more of it than I will, though! Hubby promptly opened the bag when I brought it home and said it was good, and offered me one. I am proud to say that i turned him down! I’ve had enough chocolate over the past week or two to last um atleast one day! ROFL… I’ve sworn off coke and chocolate for… one day. It’s a start. I’m drinking blueberry/pomegrante juice today instead, and bought some pecans and trail mix too. Those are all high in calories but makes a good replacement anyway.
I always get offtrack and start talking about myself! Sorry…I really love your plan, it sounds like you will be getting alot of regular exercise. What is the treadclimber. I asked the trainer at my gym to show me the treadclimber and she gave me the stairmaster. Is that the same thing? How in the world can anyone do an hour on that monster? I’m thinking treadclimber must be something else…ok I just went and searched google for treadclimber and see that is it the one I was thinking of. That is what I wanted the trainer to show me, dunno why she gave me the stairmaster. I’ll have to get her to set me up with that one soon.
Way to go on all your great exercise today. As for the calories you ate, I’ve felt that way too and as hveeck said to that, ‘it’s never useless to exercise’
I so wish I could get motivated to paint. Every square inch of the interior of my house needs to be painted. I hate painting. I’d rather clean bathroom tile grout with a toothbrush than paint.
