Still going strong

Today was a tougher test and I’m proud to say that I came through.  We had early dismissal at school and for lunch they were selling soup/sandwich/cake to support Alzheimer’s research.  I was going to go for the feeling of belonging but then realized that would be silly.  After school I had to shorten my workout but my hubby said it was ok for me to come home a bit late so I got in 45 mins on the treadclimber.  I bumped up the speed to 3.5 and bumped the treadles up to max during the commercials.  I have done this the last few days and I can really feel it in my legs.

Right now we’re trying to decide if we’re going to build a new house or stay here.  Basically, w/our son’s wheelchair we have realized our driveway is pretty dangerous.  I would say it shoots up from the street with at least a 30 degree angle, and when the school bus starts picking him up it could be a problem during the winter months.  The main problem, though, is that my hubby is still in school and even if he gets a teaching job we won’t have a 2nd paycheck until next September.  So for now we’re just going to meet w/a few builders to see if it’s even an option.

Progress toward workout goal:  47/250

Why would you look at that! You are already almost 1/4 of the way through your exercise goal of 250 w/o’s! Man! Wow, time’s a shooting past us.
That’s a cool idea, aiming for a perfect week. A little mini goal or some other challenge that’s interesting/fun is a good way to keep going strong.
I’m still thinking about de-cluttering? un-cluttering? :) all the darned clutter! LOL…rain predicted for Saturday.

I hope you can figure out a safe solution for getting your little tyke up and down the driveway this winter. If not a new home then maybe some sort of cross ways ramp system, so he’s not going straight down, would work? Of course I couldn’t build a decent bird house… :)
Way to go, kicking it up a notch on the tread climber!

Jane Fonda would be so proud of you. You’re doing fantastic. Good job on passing up the lunch! Those “for charity” things can be difficult.

Difficult decision about the ramps or house but it’s good that you’re addressing it now and taking the time to figure out the best solution.

You’re going to be right where you want to be on Sunday!

Congrats on the workout today & on avoiding a dinner out. I think I would’ve had a hard time saying “no” to that.

No matter what you decide on the house (build new or adapt the old one), I say pick the builders’ brains about how they’d deal with the driveway this winter.
    :)
