On the “right” side of the track…
Thanks Leeda for checking in on how it’s going! Well, today is Saturday and I just returned from the gym, having done cardio and weights- yay me!! Also, last night we went out for dinner to Chili’s and I ordered chicken (ha had cheese and bacon on top) but no BBQ sauce (which I love but sugar!) and broccoli. Now, I’m not going to kid myself that the meal was healthy, but it was better than some of the other things I would have liked to have ordered. And even though the broccoli had butter on it, it wasn’t french fries. I would say overall, I’m happy with my steps back onto the right track.
By the way, if you’re looking for a good movie to see, go see Gone Baby Gone. It’s amazing, such a thinking movie. And it’s set in Boston! I’ve lived here all my life (suburbs though) and went to college in the city, and even after watching the movie it reminded me how amazing it is that you can live in the same town as others and have NO idea how some people’s lives are worlds different than yours. Most of the extras are Dorchester natives and that really is how it is in most of that area, not 30 mins away from me. Yet I cannot even fathom growing up seeing what unfortunately so many of those kids see, and then become stuck in the cycle of. Anyway, it’s a fantastic flick, our own Ben Affleck directed it and his brother Casey stars, and if the movie or Casey don’t win any awards I’ll truly be shocked.
And lastly, if you have nothing else to watch tonight tune into Fox to see the Sox come back and take a last stab at getting to the World Series. Tonight is do or die, so GO RED SOX!!!!!!!
I actually saw an adult type movie today; wanted to see Gone Baby Gone but times weren’t right to fit my sched. so I saw Michael Clayton, also one I would give a thumbs up to. Ahhhhhh…George!!!! Go Sox!
You will actually be surprised to know that I am (yes - this even shocks me) hoping???? that the Red Sox will beat the Indians. As you know I am a die hard Yankees fan - so this is TOTALLY something I never thought would even be possible. But living in Cleveland now - and having to hear all this crap from people around here about how great the Indians are etc…. has pushed me over the edge. Because as you know - the Indians are NOT even in our league most years. Hope you are sitting down as you read this - I know it is a shocker - and totally against the Yankee - Red Sox manual )hehe So - I have to ask - WHO is your husband wanting to win???
Hang in there with the weight loss - I am going thru a lull right now too - and trying desperately to get back on track! WE CAN DO THIS!
Good for you!
mmmm casey affleck. He needs to go on “the wall”.. when i think of “the wall” i think of the green monster at fenway. Hehehe.. Go Sox.
I say that was a great alternative that you had at the restaurant! How many people would choose broccoli over French fries? And, hey, a little butter is actually good for you. We have to learn how to live (and eat) healthy in the real world and you are doing just fine.
