A Life Less Overweight

Back Into the Swing

Well, today was day one. I did well with eating and water. I’ve still yet to find a good water solution- I appreciate the suggestions and will try them out. Since it was the first day back, I didn’t get to the gym this afternoon, I was very tired, still left over from my late night plane arrival the other day. But, considering how I’ve felt in past first weeks, I’m not as tired and I think that’s due to how much exercise I have been getting. I plan on going back to the gym tomorrow, giving myself a day to adjust. We’ll see how things go. I’ve had nothing but positive comments on how I look, which is surprising because I don’t think I look all the different. I think it shows mostly in my face though. But, I vow to continue, to lose what I gained in KY and make haste toward the last few pounds toward my mini goal.

Good for you girl! Get right back up on that bandwagon.

As for water.. ugh.. its hard for me too. I usually keep a gallon jug in the fridge and then drink a big glass before I eat meals. I pretty much just chug it down. I hate plain water, but I wouldnt drink it at all if I had to sip on it. Another idea is the Lipton Diet Ice Tea mixes. I like Peach. Its 5 calories per serving which you mix with 8oz of water. I can spare 40 calories a day to get in 64 oz of water. Good luck.

I usually grab a bottle each time I get in the car and sip it while driving. It’s more of a habit than a strategy. Welcome back! - dritta

Yay for positive comments! Even though you might not notice a difference, I bet you look phenomenal. Congrats for getting back on the bandwagon. I wish I had some suggestions for water, but I have trouble getting it in myself.

Do you like drinking water? See, it’s easy for me because I do. What I do when I am teaching is a I bring a huge bottle with me to my classes. By the end of the day I have drunk the whole bottle and made my water quota. Again, I like drinking it so it’s not too difficult.

If you DON’T like drinking water, what about adding some Crystal Light into what you’re drinking? I know a lot of non-water people swear by that.
