I'm sorry to hear about your surgery - but hope it was all for the better. Thanks so much for the suggestion to keep our routine to 3 days. I was worried I wouldn't be able to see progress, but lo and behold, even taking 2 days off, we're still able to keep up with our previous "achievement"! And we're not dog tired (as we were with every day jogging)...and as you said...much less chance of injury <3

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I'm definitely going to give a good look-see! And I'm feeling much less blue lately. I think it was just the end of my TOM, and my body was re-adjusting. :/ You'd think I'd have figured out that pattern by now!

Definitely go the 3 day route instead of 6. Most injuries from running are from doing too much, too soon. You see progress so you pick it up a notch, do more, longer, faster etc. Then boom, injury, painful & puts you out of commission for a LONG time. I tried jogging 3 times each w injuries before I found C25K. Then never had an injury again. I did have weeks that I repeated because I just didnt master them as fast as one week. I loved it. I had back surgery 2 yrs ago and jogging is off the table for me forever now, but it was the greatest exercise I've ever done.

If I wanted to work out more, I did elliptical at the gym or walking on the other days -- that's better because it still lets your body recover from the jarring effects of jogging.

Hope you're feeling less blue soon.

There are tons of exercise sites on the www as you know, but something you might find fun is the 100 pushup challenge. Every day you build up until you're doing 100 in a row. I did it for a few weeks about 2 years ago and saw progress really fast (before I quit...). It might be a good fit for you, since you obviously like to push yourself (running! without a tiger chasing you!)
