I will have to grin and bear it. It wasn’t that bad. At least that is what I kept telling myself. I got up this morning planning on doing my run right away but it was pouring out. I decided to just go back to bed. Watched 2 episodes of CSI and then got up and ready for work.
On my way home from work it wasn’t raining, hard. So when I got home I put running clothes on and headed out the door. Whoops, it was pouring again. Got the vacuum out and vacuumed downstairs and looked out the window and the rain had stopped. Ran to my car and took off to my path. Raining. Screw it. If I wait for it to stop I will never run. Did my 2.5 miles and I wasn’t the only one on the path. I passed another lady running towards me and we virtual high fived each other. I told her good job for getting out in this rain.
I was soaked when I was done. And of course it had stopped raining. I had to take my jacket off and put it on the floor in the back seat it was so wet.
Went home and took a hot shower. Put my sweats on. I love Thursdays. Survivor and the Office. Can’t get much better. Oh, yes it can. I made apple crisp for dessert. Yummy.
Friday is a rest day. Saturday 5.5 miles. If weather is permitting. Thankfully no set plans on Saturday so I can run anytime.
