Last week my husband started running. On his own. Around the block. I am so proud of him. He hates to exercise and this was a big step for him. So he is able to make it almost around the block with out stopping. He has different goals than me, but that is ok. I don’t usually like to run with him. He runs fast. And I can’t keep up with him. But I can go for a long time and a lot slower. Another thing, he likes to run around the block and I like to run on a path. I am not ready to run in my neighborhood in the daylight. So I am thankful that it is getting darker and I will be able to join him on his evening runs. Ok, one more complaint. He like to run on a full stomach, and I have to have an empty stomach.
So, tonight we went for a run. Before dinner. Walked .25 of a mile. Then ran .75, turned and ran .25. Dh stopped at the .75 so I turned and walked back to him. Then we ran .25 miles, walked .25 miles and then we were done.
It was good.

So I was on a roll. Tuesday I went for a run. Ran .5 mile, walked .25, ran .75, walked .25 then turned around and that is when I felt it. In my knee. But I was able to run back to the car. Felt fine. But when I got up Wednesday morning at 5:45 to get my kids off to school I got myself dressed for running. Headed out the door at 7. I walked .25 then started running. Made it .25 miles and had to stop and walk. The pain in my knee was terrible. I could walk with no problems, but every time I tried running it was very painful. So I took today, Thursday, off. I think I will get up and go for a walk in the morning. My friend has a knee brace she is going to let me borrow and see if that will help.
Pain is not good.
Food has been ok. Back to working. I have been packing yogurt to eat as a snack. That seems to head off the gorging bug when I get home from work. And trying to keep my portions at a regular size for dinner.
Dh and I just went for a walk. About .5 miles.
