Rainy days Suck!-ok, they aren’t so bad.

Yes, it makes everything green.  And I am sure there are other things rain is good for.  But not for running.  Some people like to run in the rain, but I don’t.  I was supposed to walk the Rose Festival Parade route with a couple of my friends this morning but I backed out last night.  I didn’t want to walk and then sit and watch the parade wet.  Not fun for me.

Eating has been good.  I am staying pretty good.  Not over indulging and not depriving myself.

I have done one of Jackie Warners workouts every night.  I really feel those working.  My daughter has to work today and my goal is to ride to work with her and then run home.  It is 4 miles.  I will run 3 of those.  I will try for more.  But not going to push it.  I will update later how I did.

I really want the Wii fit.  I wonder if anyone has this and how they like it and if they really use it.

UPDATE:  I drove to work with my daughter.  And off I went.  I walked .38 of a mile. Took off running.  I almost ran the whole way home.  There is a really big hill and I made it 3/4 of the way up before I had to walk.  I fast walked though.  When I got to the top of the hill I took of running again.  I ended up running 3.68 miles.  That is the most I have done in one session. I think it helped not having the mileage markers.  Then cool down walked .21 mile.  I will have to do that route again.  I know the mileage looks funny, but I looked it up on a website where you can map your route.  I need to work on my walking though.  I am doing Portland to Coast in a few months and my total mileage is 18 miles.  I know I can do it.  I have done it 8 times.   I need to start training for that.

How did your run go? I have heard Wii fit is really fun, but have not experienced it first hand. We have DDR and that’s a blast. Not fitness related, but we also have Sing Star, which is a freaking riot for the whole family, from DH and I on down to DD9.

Okay, I’m not a video game person…cause I lack the coordination & the ability to process commands like “to jump, just hit star, left, right, A”

But I love the Wii! As soon as hubby finishes the diss & I get a couple of articles out, I’m getting us one. In fact, the new house has a basement which I picture as our very own Wii central. The Wii fit looks like so much fun, but I haven’t tried it either…am hoping some of our friends will buy it first so I can try it out.

    Happy running!

I admit to being one who loves (well, used to love) running in the rain, in the days when I could run out of doors. Your run home sounded really great, though.

Hats off to you for your 3.68, including an uphill stretch. That is awesome.
