Hello world!

Hey everyone!

So I can’t sleep. I am up with pain from a laparoscopy that I had today (everything went well, thank goodness!) I am not a big blogger, but for my sake, and my weight loss success, maybe this will help me!

I have FINALLY decided after months and months of saying that I’m going to dive headfirst into this whole weight-loss thing that I’m starting today. I’ve been preparing for a while though, as I have been portioning, walking on my treadmill, and integrating more fresh fruits and veggies into my diet rather than the junky, processed crap.

Also, I don’t think that I have actually been wholeheartedly ready for the plunge yet, as I’ve been ill the last few months. (Lots of OB visits, diagnoses of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Interstitial Cystitis within weeks of each other) But, after surgery today, I think that it will benefit me greatly (pain free!).

I’m contemplating joining something like Weight Watchers, but after joining the thread on 3FC, I don’t know if the meetings would benefit me. I mainly need something with some sort of structure, and yummy recipes to follow. Maybe I should just nab some WW cookbooks or something? I really don’t know, and I need to research this further. Until then, I am going to stick to my routine that I am currently on. It includes either whole-grain oatmeal or Kashi cereal for breakfast with fresh fruit for breakfast, a spinach salad chock-full of veggies for lunch, and some yummy dinner selection made from grilled or roasted protien with a LOT of fresh veggies.

For now, I think I will say goodnight. I hope that by blogging my frustrations, that I will be able to turn that into a positive habit, rather than searching in my kitchen.
