Yesterday & today
Hubby & I have a deadline to meet on Friday, so yesterday was a work day (read: no workout day). It rained & rained & rained again…getting sick of the rain now. Here’s yesterday’s food:
breakfast: usual
lunch: salad with hb egg
dinner; beef stew with multigrain french bread & 1/2 tbs butter
snack; still going for rainy-day comfort foods, so fresh peach cobbler. I didn’t even try to make it light, but instead focused on eating a small portion & being satisfied.
Today:
Breakfast: usual
lunch: salad with hb egg
dinner: stew again, probably
Exercise: will be none. If we can make work progress today, I’ll run or swim tomorrow.
I enjoyed your post from yesterday! Although I find it difficult to include myself in your “community of exceptional women” sitting here as I am, chowing down on a bowl of Cheerios and scooping up the stray ones that have fallen to my chest with my spoon. I could write a book on how I feel about the whole “Men ultimately rule over Women” crap that’s been going on since the first cave man gave “woman” a good clout over the head with his club. I know exactly what should have done with the first frying pan! Have some iron, it’ll make ya stronger!
Ahhh it’s not only the men to blame. These amazing women had their own sex to fight as well. Don’t get me going on feeble minded, complacent women! Best I stop now!
You did get me recalling when I was about, let’s say 12/13 yrs. old. Next to last of 7 children. The six other all boys! My mum said she’d tell me that it was time to do dishes, dust,or make the beds, and the next thing she knew, she’d look out the window and see me disappearing up the road. See, that’s how it was when I grew up. That was womens work. The boys weren’t expected to do it. I couldn’t understand for the life of me why I had to. Make THEIR beds, too? I’d get such a knot in my face over that one!
Been that way ever since!
Enough rambling from me! Have heck of a day, bigprof!
