I could really get used to…
this whole living with your husband thing. I don’t know why we didn’t think of it earlier
Yeah, so maybe we’re experiencing the honeymoon we never had, but things are going so very good now. It’s weird not to be constantly thinking about when I can get away to see him & it’s weird to have him around all the time, rather than just talk to him on the phone every day. But it’s a good weird. It’s a great weird, really.
Yesterday we went shopping for stools for the new kitchen island (I’ll post a picture of the island later today) & it took us over 3 hours to find ones that we liked & could afford. The last part was the real deal breaker: I’m just not prepared to pay $200-$450 a piece for stools. Did I miss something? I mean, we literally saw more than one stool in the $400 range! We hit about 6 stores before hubby spotted a JC Penny Furniture store behind this mall I’d never seen before. Walked in the door & in the area between the two doors to the place, there were the stools we’d been looking for, on sale for $60 a piece…still pricey, but more affordable. We have to pick them up in two weeks, but that’s 2 weeks without hubby making all kinds of “stool” jokes, & it’ll be at least 10 years before we have to go stool shopping again, so that’s bliss.:)
Okay, today no teaching, I’m just holding open lab hours for my students who want to meet with their groups or talk or whatever. So I’m dressing Friday casual & taking the gym bag with me so I can do some weights and walk a bit (no running til tomorrow for me!) after class.
Breakfast: usual
Lunch: salad was Greek food. I had 1/4 cup cheddar soup, maybe 5 bites rice pilaf, one stuffed grape leaf, 1/2 small portion of moussaka, and 1 spinach pie. Not great, but I let hubby graze freely on my plate & he finished off most of it.
Dinner: 17 cheeze its, fat/sugar free pudding with coolwhip free, beer.
Snack: (see above)
Exercise: None…a series of journals I ordered from ILL came in, but rather than being journals, they were microfilm, so I sat in the library all afternoon scanning back issues.
Have a great day everyone!

$400 for a stool is just a little ridiculous! I mean, it’s a round peice of wood with 4 legs and some cushion!! Glad you found some closer to your price range.
Living with your husband!! Imagine that! It is a little surreal. I remember when I got married. It did feel a little weird to be living with someone.
Good luck tomorrow!! I’ll be joining you on your 5k journey as I am going to sign up for one as well.
Enjoy your “honeymoon”!!
So glad you’re enjoying the “honeymoon” period. Sometimes there’s an adjustment period when people get used to living with each other.
$400 for a barstool! I think I would have needed the chair to hold me up when I saw the tag!
What time is your race? If it’s not the same time as my kid’s soccer game, I’ll run with you : )
It’s Saturday!!! Wake up, bigprof!
It’s the “BIG 5 K TODAY”
Have a great run ya wild ‘n crazy woman!
