I’m ready…
to lose this stupid weight. Yesterday I wore a skirt that I’m always worried is too tight. Instead, I spent the day with it rotating around my waist and fighting to get it back in place without too much of a public production. That I like; that I like a lot.
But I need to lose a lot more. I’m not one of those, “oh, I just need to lose 5 pounds so I can get back into a size 6″ people. I’m fat. I’m obese. It’s time to get back on track.
So here’s what I need to do:
* post here & read here every day.
* hit the gym at least 5 times a week.
* sign up for a month of bootcamp.
* get back to my rules & stick to them so I can get control of my eating.
* thank all of my friends here (you know who you are) for your amazing support.
I don’t especially care that this is like the 12th time I’ve had a new resolve in the last 7 months. I’ll take as many new resolves as I can, & string them out for a lifetime.
It’s time to get serious!

I’m right with you! Wow… I wrote a very similar thing today. It’s funny how some of us seem to be in sync with each other.
We can do this!! I know it! And that’s great your skirt was loose!! What a great feeling!
I’m with you to. I just posted my “this is it, time to hit it hard” resolve statement AGAIN this week, but this time I mean it. Really! I do!
Please, let’s just all DO THIS THING and be done with it, and move on with our lives! Jeez!
Yeah! Sounds like that skirt needs to take a little trip to the Goodwill - good for you!
So few people can start a diet/exercise thing and not have ups and downs with it. Like I said a long time ago, sometimes it is like learning to drive a standard…stall out, lurch forward, stall out, lurch forward. The way I can tell the difference between the new me and old me is that my stall outs don’t last three years anymore.
I don’t know… learning to drive stick was SO MUCH EASIER THAN THIS!!
Excellent plan, you’ll be back completely into the swing of things before you know it!
I just love that you’re now having trouble because your clothes are getting too big. Also love that you’re not afraid to keep committing and re-committing. It will take as long as it takes. Yeah!
Heh heh. Catching up on everyone’s blogs, I had to laugh at you as the kid with the desk you couldn’t get closed on account of it was so messy. I was the kid who didn’t even need to open the lid of my desk. It was so utterly tidy, I kept all my books in order so I didn’t even need to see, I knew where they were in the stack.
