Need some accountability!
So last night I was feeling like quite the failure. & last night I was giving myself every bit of permission to fail cause: full of excuses to explain it all away.
This morning I woke up & realized that I didn’t start writing this blog cause I needed a place to record excuses. I started it because, well, the title of this post is also the title of my very first post at 3FC. I need some accountability & a lot of community (turns out) to stick to good eating & exercising every day.
So, hell, I’ll force a routine here. I have internet access everywhere, so I’m going to get back to writing here every day. Probably not long missives (gee, I know you’ll miss my rambling posts
), but I can at least record my food & exercise & I can make time to read your blogs for inspiration.
Food:
Breakfast: kashi & blueberries
Lunch: corn on the cob, beets in 1/2 tbs butter, green beans, hard boiled egg
Dinner: chicken breast 1 cup (cooked) whole wheat pasta, zucchini slices, chopped tomato, basil, garlic in olive oil.
Snack: kashi & blueberries
Exercise: 3.2 mile walk/run (2.5 miles of that running between 4.4 & 5.8…my fastest speed yet! and .7 of walks at 3.6); slow walk around dog park (30 mins)
Steps: 13082
Motivation/inspiration for the day: Periwinkle is suspending all work to focus on only fitness for the next month. And Eryn’s taking a new journey with her blog…go wish her bon voyage (although, technically & thankfully, she isn’t going away).
Updated weight loss ticker & damn did it hurt like hell! But the alternative is staying away from here until I lose those 2 pounds again, bust since the only way to lose those 2 pounds again is to be here, losing weight and being accountable with ya’ll, I had to do it. Still, this isn’t a move I want to repeat. Next week, I want to be back down those 2 pounds!

I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK! I have missed your posts. You are at such a busy overwhelming point in your life. Most people would hide from this place, but here you are! Good for you and luck for us
Grr. I wish we could edit replies. I meant LUCKY for us seeing as how “luck for us” makes no sense.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD!! I just posted about how I need to make some changes too!! Except my blogging changes are the exact OPPOSITE of yours!!
Great idea, I personally feel that writing it all down, every day, brings focus and calrity (AND catharsis!). I have a separate private journal which I fill every day with exactly what I ate, how much exercise I did, and how I felt about anything and everything. I like that one to be private because I discovered that if it was public I did too much self-editing. And besides, that journal would make sense to no one but me, sometimes it is almost stream-of-consciousness ramblings, but it serves its purpose!
Why hello there! Back with a plan of attack, I see! I’m very impressed, bigprof! It’s too fricking easy to get off track and get in a rut. Especially when you have other stuff to do that has to be done like yesterday!!! Madness I say. July sucked and August is our month, by the joe jeezuz, and we’re going to run our a$$es off! LOL I see you’re getting speedier with the runs, too. Nice! To answer your comment my fitness month was supposed to start on the first and I’ve managed to do a video every day like I wanted, but my legs were still hellish tired from over use. So because of that and the possibility of an up coming camping trip later on this month, I’ll probably extend into the first week of September…Absolutely no uptight anal rules here to follow, just do what I can and then some extra!
what? extra? Oh yeah…
todays the day…I’m running tonight!
geeze I miss your rambling posts already…sniffle…hiccup…
Glad you’re back! And nice job on the run you posted on the yahoo group : ) I’m still on vacay, but actually in the room PROOFREADING of all things while DH and DD15 watch DD9 finish her Jr. LifeGuard Training. Then it’s pack up, check out and drive home and, gag me, back to reality. Oh, wait, this comment was supposed to be about you, not me, sorry (heehee)! GOOD JOB and WELCOME BACK and GOOD LUCK getting hubby packed, moved and WRITING.
