I guess I run now

or I’m trying to anyway.

Need some accountability

Maybe this will help, though & I’m just about desperate now…41 years old, 183.5 pounds, 5′ tall, out of shape & ashamed of myself for letting my body get into this terrible condition.

So today I started running…only intermittently while walking briskly using coolrunning’s couch to 5K in 9 weeks program & a great podcast that times each week’s run out for you.

Tomorrow walking and yoga.

Shooting for 10% loss now…18 pounds. Much more later on.

Let’s see how it goes when I feel like there’s some accountability & I have to post about the exercise I do everyday & about my progress.

Blogging and keeping a record of my food on FitDay definitely helps keep me focused. The running is a good idea! It seems like the C25K thing must really work for people (haven’t tried myself, though). Good luck!

Hi, nice job on getting in in gear. I just turned 42 a couple of weeks ago, started my journey at 184 lb (5′1″) and have been “at it” for 17 weeks now. I’m down 21.2 lb (woo hoo!) and have my “first” goal set at hitting 150 lb. I know 150 lb is still too big, but it’s a start. I do find blogging impacts my accountability quite a bit. Anyhoo, just thought I’d say hi since we sound like we’re in similar situations. I am going to check out the coolrunnings site now. Timed out podcast for a beginning runner sounds like a great idea.
