Blogger Award :)
Thank you Sunnygee for the Gorgeous Blogger award! It was very sweet of you
I do work hard to post in here almost everyday and I try to make things interesting to read

So as part of winning this award I have some rules I have to follow:
Rules:
-Include the award on your blog or post
-Share with everyone six interesting facts about yourself
-Nominate as many bloggers as you like
-Be sure to link the nominees within your post
-Let them know that they received this award through their tagboards or private message them
-Share the love and link this post so that everyone will know the person whom you received your award from
I will try to figure out how to permanently attach this photo to my blog lol. I don’t play with the settings too much on here…
6 interesting facts about me, that’s hard as I don’t think I am an interesting person lol!
1- I am really into books, I read everyday. Unless I am about to pass out I can’t go to bed without reading a few pages at least! I’ll pretty much read anything- but mostly I love books about people’s lives. True or not- like “The Other Boleyn Girl” and “The Constant Princess” based on Anee Boleyn and Katherine of Aragorn, but obviously some fiction has been put in there- I’ve read the author’s entire series- VERY good stuff
Currently I’m re-reading the Twilight Saga and am on the last book again. Go TEAM EDWARD!

2- I work at a crime lab. I’m working towards becoming a DNA analyst. Currently due to the economy I am only an assistant- but I do apply here and there to places that are currently hiring. I do want to stay in San Diego if possible- but sometimes life doesn’t work that way. You probably already are thinking “is it just like the show CSI?” Yes and no. Yes we get evidence, yes we determine what happened at a crime, who did it, and so on BUT we do not carry weapons, we do NOT go to crime scenes alone, we never speak to victims or interview them, we don’t speak to suspects either- that is the job of the detectives. Also- we don’t crank out results in less than an hour and we all specialize in our areas of expertise. I only know DNA, I don’t lift prints, I don’t do trace analysis, I don’t shoot guns and test the bullets, and so on. I love how the shows make it seem like you do it all- but it’s just not true- we like our little bubble away from the world
Oh but we do testify in court

3- I love birds
My two babies (on my about me page) are the luckiest birds ever- though lately they have been driving mommy crazy trying to get at her crochet!! I’ve loved birds since I was little- you may think they are boring but nope they are very smart and just as demanding as a child- I never recommend anyone get a bird unless they have lots of time for it and don’t have large animals.
This isn’t mine though- cute isn’t it?
4- I just recently started to take up crochet, I’m having tons of fun with it and when I finish my first project I will show it to you all! My baby blanket is about 2/3s done I’d say
I’m going slow since I’m new.

5- (ack this is getting hard) I speak Kurdish which is a language spoken by the Kurds, my family is originally from Northern Iraq but my parents left the country in the early 80s cuz of the war going on in their country. They literally hiked over the mountains to Iran then eventually fled the country and landed in Italy. Once their they claimed sanctuary and were allowed to stay. They stayed for two years while waiting to come to America- they were sponsored by my dad’s uncle. While they were there I was born! So yup- I was born in Bracciano, Italy, just north west of Rome
Isn’t it pretty? I definitely would like to go back and visit one day!

6- Probably my most favorite cuisine in the world is Asian food. I love pho- which is vietnamse, thai food, chinese food, sushi, and so on. If I could I’d eat that way forever- but since I can’t eat too many carbs I have to limit that

Okay and there you have it! You all probably knew most of that about me- but I tried to throw in some new stuff
Okay- so as you probably suspect I read a lot of your blogs too! The top ladies whose blogs I read almost on a daily basis are:
Linda at Linda T’s Ramblings
Marbear24 at One Step at a Time
I read many ladies blogs and I wish I could nominate you all but I just picked a few that I find blog regularly. Fat Pants and Sunnygee and Sunnydaze- I do nominate you too lol
But since Sunnygee sent me this and picked Fat Pants and Sunnydaze I thought that would be redundant lol.
You ladies are definitely wonderful, put a smile on my face, and motivate me to keep on going! YOU ROCK!
PHEW that was a long post so I won’t go into details but this morning I’m already back down to 208. TOM will be here any day now- I’m already feeling bloated and I’m still sore but that’s okay- trying to stick out this diet while wanting carbs so badly lol. I was so busy last night I didn’t get home till late so didn’t make my lunches for the rest of the week, I’ll do it tonight- today going to grab some thai food next door- but I’m just getting veggies with chicken and brown rice- so it won’t be too terrible.
Have a great day everyone!!
Aw thanks :). I too am a book junkie. I worked PT at Borders a year or so ago and it SO didn’t help! You know what one of my favorite sites is? http://www.literature-map.com You enter your fav author and it generates authors with similar subject matter and wwriting style. The closer the author hovers to the one you input, the more similar they are. I tend to run out of authors quickly, so it comes in handy
Interesting! Especially about being born in Italy.. and I KNEW that CSI show wasn’t totally real (though I had no idea about what parts, just that certainly they didn’t carry guns?!) LOL
yo so earned it! And how cool, being born in Italy!
Thanks Sun!
FP you’d be surprised at how many people think it actually IS like TV. Pft- it’s a million times harder and more involved!
Interesting facts. It is cool that you were born in Italy. My great-grandparents were born in Calabria, Italy. I’d love to go there someday.
Now we know where you got that gorgeous dark hair.
aww gee. I am honored. I am a book junkie as well. I finally bit the bullet last eyar and got a Kindle. I was running out of space on my bookshelves!! And not to mention all of the dead trees.
You can crochet really well. The last time I crocheted was in 3rd grade. I made a lopsided potholder
Agree with you on the Asian food. My favorite. it is funny but as a child I hated chinese and all asian foods. All I would eat when we went out for chinese was prawns and white rice.
