The book is in…

I got my book in yesterday, I started reading it last night, I’m like okay I can DEFINITELY see where I can improve on. No more fruit :( But I can have fruit jello so that’ll help me for the first two weeks!

I made a huge shopping list of all the things I’ll need for the next two weeks, I have to clean out the fridge as well, I think for the most part everything in there is fine, nothing expired and so on, but just want to make sure.

Hubby STILL has that pie in there he bought over a week ago- grr it’s bothering me cuz he knows chocolate pie is a weakness of mine- but I haven’t had it!

I won’t put up a photo of the pie- that’s just cruel! lol ;)

Oh and guess what- I’m going to take up crocheting! SO many girls at work do it, and the stuff they make is so cute and even my MIL does it- so I’m like I can do this- it can’t be that bad, I bought a beginner’s kit and three sets of yarn. I want to make a baby blanket and I found the most gorgeous yarn for that- but obviously I can’t start with that so I got two small sets of red and brown to make the small things in the book. I already have the first “chain stitch” down, but not sure if I am doing the rest right- so I’ll ask my MIL or grandma if she can help me out and see if I’m doing this right lol.

Eating was okay yesterday- went out to Rubio’s and I had a grilled chicken chopped salad- they are SOOO good!

Then hubby and I went out shopping and that’s where I picked up the yarn :) He’s calling me an old lady and asked me if I needed some old lady glasses so I told him no I need a new husband ;) lol.

Anyways, going to try and follow the two week meal plan as close as possible, possibly add a few substitutions here and there, but we’ll see how it goes :)

Oh and my “bean bowl” that I are yesterday was black beans, salsa, and avocado, delicious! :D

Have a good day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Surprised

Haha how funny my last few posts have been about how I feel.

Yesterday was very busy AFTER I wrote this blog. Got a bunch of stuff done at work, then went to ask my boss for next Friday off. About oh ten seconds later my husband’s work called, he collapsed and fell against this rack at work and sliced his arm open. He was okay but his vision was blurred a bit and he was very dizzy. I told my boss I had to go and when I got there he was like no problem. When I got there they had bandaged him up, the cut is huge- almost from wrist to elbow they told me. We left his car at work but it’s a parked garage and we aren’t worried about the car. This Monday we’ll just carpool. I found out that hubby has FORGOTTEN to take his medication for TWO days- NOT good when you have MS! So I told him from now on we are going to make a system so he doesn’t forget. Our new system for one is to put his stuff on his nightstand, not our dresser, and two to put dates on the syringes, each morning he’ll check to make sure he took his shot- if he didn’t he’ll have to take it then. Missing his medication is really bad- obviously- only two days in and he freaking falls at work!

Anyways- surprise surprise I get a CALL from my realtor! He’s apologetic, he’s really sorry, he doesn’t know what happened, he THOUGHT “accounting” had taken care of things, and so on. He went through every item with me, sent me a fax with the missing items (finally) and then in the end I found out I was owed $406 and some change. I think he panicked lol- he apologized a million times and I think he’s pretty pissed off at his secretary right now. He said he’s sending me a check for the money so I’ll receive it next week according to him.

FREAKING FINALLY! *faint* My friends say I should get a new person but I’m like dude what if that new person is WORSE?! I will look around but this time I’ll ask them for client references.

Next time I’ll just threaten him with court from the beginning ;)

Anyways- eating was really good yesterday despite all that happened. Hubby wanted McDonald’s and being the softie of a wife I am we went and got some- I got a grilled chicken Cesar salad minus croutons and then we split a 10 piece nuggets and I had one BBQ sauce packet. A little high fat but low carb :) Hubby had the crispy club with large soda and large fries.

Got home, sister was sick also. She’s started working with kids again and no surprise that she’s got something… She’s been resting most of the day and no one ate dinner but me- so I grilled up some Tilapia and had that with some leftover squash casserole :D YUM! I did have a snack of 100 calorie popcorn cuz I was craving carbs, but still for the day my carbs were at 26% so no damage done IMO.

SD is getting a heat wave, at 11:30 am it’s already over 80 degrees, I hear we are going to get into the 100s next week :( I’m literally sweating after JUST cooking and eating breakfast! *sigh*

I had a nice chat with my mother this morning too- she can’t wait to be home this November- I haven’t seen her for almost two years! She works for the military as a linguist so she doesn’t come home often. She’ll be surprised to see Cinnamon! She hasn’t even met Broccoli that’s how long she’s been gone!

Have a good day everyone :)

Calm-er….

Today I am calmer, I talked to a few people at work also and they agreed that he’s probably fallen on hard times and he’s been hoping I don’t notice he’s taking extra money. I agree firefly he’s totally embezzling from me! PFT I am freaking crazy about money and it’s my MOM’s finances so of course I am careful with them! I would check EVERY single month and anytime I felt there was an issue I would call and it would get straightened out right away. Now I’m just totally ignored!

I sent him this email:

Realtor,

I am very disappointed that I have heard nothing for the past two weeks from you since you said you would contact me. My questions about items from April to July of 2009 STILL have not been answered and sending another ledger full of numbers is NOT going to solve the problem as the ledger offers little to no explanation. I have almost $1200 in unaccounted charges that I have repeatedly asked you for documentation for with little to no response.

This email is to let you know that I expect you to immediately contact me and let me know what these charges are WITH receipts that you can either fax or mail to me. If I do not hear from you soon I have no alternative choice but to file a claim in small claims to recover the unaccounted charges. Consider this a termination of our contract if you choose not to respond and I will be at your office September 25th to pick up keys and anything else related to 1559 Broadway and will also need the contact information of the current tenant. I feel I have been very patient and hope this can be resolved without the additional time and expense of a lawsuit.

Beerab
———————————-

I mean after months of emails and phone calls, what else am I supposed to do?! I already looked into the small claims court and I will be filing on September 25th after I go to his office if he doesn’t give me everything there OR if he’s NOT there.

I can’t find the contract I have with him but today when I get home I’m going to look, I though I left it at work when I was taking care of bank paperwork, but apparently not. I have all the papers he’s given me in a file so I probably just didn’t see it. I’m going to hole punch everything and put it all in a binder, I’ve kept everything he’s ever given me. I hate to go to court but I feel like he’s really left me no choice. I mean ALL I want is a receipt- WHY can’t he give me that?!

Eating was good overall yesterday despite the fact I was still pretty mad. I have to do better with breakfast though cuz just some cheese isn’t cutting it! lol No pun intended ;) I’m always hungry by lunch but it’s my own fault for poor planning! I keep saying I’ll make eggs then forgetting!

Have a good weekend everyone- if my rack comes in I’m going bike riding this weekend! I was hobbling a bit but today it feels better. I’m hoping that I’ll be totally fine for the weekend :)

Wish me luck with this dude!

PISSED OFF

I am so freaking angry right now. I have been angry since last night and my hubby knows it. He was scared of me yesterday and after dinner he washed EVERYTHING then cleaned up that’s how pissed he knew I was.

Why am I pissed? This is why! I have a property manager I have take care of my mother’s condo. Each month he collects rent, he takes care of the condo, deducts the costs from rent, and then sends me a check with receipts for what he spent. Since APRIL I have been contacting him about charges that are not being explained. I have asked for an explanation MULTIPLE times with nothing. He responded to an email of mine two weeks ago saying that he’d explain and still I have heard NOTHING. The total of all these charges add up to almost $1200! I am beyond livid right now and when I get home I will be taking a look at the paperwork he sent me THEN I will be sending him an email saying if he does NOT send me an explanation of these charges WITH receipts then consider this letter his notice of termination and I will be seeing him in small claims court. I have kept all correspondence from him including the last few emails I have sent to him asking what is going on… I don’t have time for this crap but apparently now I have to take care of it…

I was so angry I barely ate any of my dinner, but then after that while watching TV with my sister and her friend I had like 2 oz’s of doritos the laid out, and I had a la tortilla wrap and hummus… I was getting more angry cuz now I was pissed at myself.

Oh and THEN I was also mad cuz earlier when I got home I fell down on the floor in our bedroom cuz SOMEONE took a shower and got water on the floor. I didn’t see it and so now my ankle is swollen AND my left butt cheek is sore… At least the swelling is down this morning. So now I have a blue toenail on the right foot, a sore ankle on the left foot, AND a sore buttcheek! Really what’s next?

BAH HUMBUG DAMMIT I say!

Any advice on what to do about this dude? Mind you I have sent him email after email and phone call after phone call asking WHAT is going on with little to no response. Half the responses are “I’ll have my bookkeeper look into it.” I am seriously AT my wits end!

Oh btw called bike company they said it was shipped out (FINALLY) and I should be receiving it any day now… We’ll SEE.

Restaurant week reviews!

Yes it’s finally here, the reason why I am so sure I am going to be the same weight at my next weigh in lol. I seem AWESOME at maintaining- but that’s a good thing? Right?

Okay, so here we go! (Warning MAJOR FOOD PORN!)

The first restaurant I went to, the Harbor House, is a beautiful restaurant located at seaport village in San Diego. Seaport village is a lovely place to go with family and walk around, buy souvenirs, and so on.

When we arrived we took some photos:

Isn’t my sister beautiful?!

And of course me, I think I look alright…

So we both started out with the oysters. There were two on the half-shell and two oysters rockefeller. Oysters rockefeller are cooked with spinach and cheese and usually with Pernod alcohol, a substitute for absinthe because until recently absinthe was banned from the United States, so I’m hoping now that the ban is lifted we’ll see some in the future made with absinthe!

I was the brave one and tried the raw oyster and yeah I couldn’t do it lol. I couldn’t swallow it- it was TOO squishy lol. I spit it back out OOPS lol. But I did eat the oysters rockefeller :)

On to the next course, I had the salmon and it had some sort of citrus glaze on it I think. It was pretty good, I ate it all, and honestly I thought it was WEIRD it was on a plank of cedar lol. I also ate most of the veggies and tried the potatos, which were GOOD!

My sister had the filet mignon with the potatoes and veggies. I thought HER veggies were better than mine… I love green beans!

She ate most of it and then took the meat home (which I had for my lunch at work the next day YUM!).

I forgot to take photos of dessert right away (oopsie) but I did manage to get it a few bites in.

I had the profiteroles:

These are puff pastries filled with a vanilla creme custard and topped with some chocolate sauce. I only ate one puff out of the three and took the rest home to hubby.

My sister got the fruit tart and it was pretty good according to her, but she also took most of it home- we were just TOO stuffed from dinner :) I tried a bite it was pretty good.

All in all, the food was okay, not the best I’d ever had and I don’t think I would ever go to this place again- sorry Harbor House! :( I mean knowing it’s normally more expensive, I felt that even though the service was very good and the presentation was very good, the food gets a 7/10 and the service gets a 9/10.

The restaurant my husband and I went to last night was Harbor Edge and let me tell you, this restaurant is at the Sheraton Hotel across from the San Diego International Airport. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, the chairs were comfortable, and I loved it- we had a seat by the window so we could see all the boats and the ocean, it was great! :D Today hubby and I dressed a bit casually :)

Hubby didn’t like any of the appetizer’s so he ordered a seperate appetizer ($14!) and he started off with the crab cakes:

I also had the wine pairing (for an additional $14, 4 oz of wine with each course) and the first wine I was given (I told the waiter surprise me) was a delightful wine called Evolution which is a proprietary blend of white wines which I thought was DELICIOUS! I told the guy, I’ve NEVER tasted this wine before, what is it? I thought I just sucked at wine tasting lol. ;)

My husband also ordered the scallops so I could try them and I had the lamb chops (changed my mind at the last minute).

Both were delicous! I loved the lamb chops, they were cooked medium and tender (no I have no issue with eating lamb- yummy and tender!) and came with some pinto beans in a tomato sauce. The scallops came with a piece of bread but I didn’t eat it.

Then came the main course (are you wiping the drool now? lol). My husband had the steak with potato’s and veggies:

He said the meat was very good and the potato’s were delicious!

I had the cioppino which is a seafood stew in a tomato broth:

Let me tell you, this was DELICIOUS- I ate it all (well not all the broth but all the seafood). It had another huge scallop, a HUGE prawn (omg I swear it was on steriods), half a crab, mussels, lobster, and clams! It sucked having to take everything out of it’s shell- BUT it was totally worth it and good, they gave me a special fork and bowl for the shells :) SEAFOOD ROCKS! Hubby was looking at me like EW but I happily ate it and it was paired with savagnin blanc (pronounced SO-vin-yawn BLONK). Definitely yummy :)

The last course, dessert was SOO GOOD! Hubby ordered the cherries jubilee with cheesecake ice cream:

He said the ice cream was the best he’d ever had, he’d never tasted ice cream that was so smooth apparently. I’m sure they made it all from scratch :)

I had the molten lava cake and suprise it came with raspberries!

I ate all the raspberries, a bite of the ice cream, and 1/3 of the cake, I brought the rest home and gave it to my sister :) My dessert was paired with riesling, which is a semi-sweet wine and I thought it went perfectly with my dessert :)

I give this restaurant a 10! Service was EXCELLENT, the atmosphere was so calming and beautiful, and the food was EXCELLENT- hubby and I would DEFINITELY come here again :) The one other thing I liked was they left plenty of room between courses so hubby and I talked a lot, which was nice to spend time just me and him :D I didn’t feel rushed at all and that’s one thing I HATE about restaurants- I like to take my time and eat, not rush through and be done with a meal in 15 minutes. We got there at 6 and ate through that whole meal and didn’t leave till 7:40!

On to other things- eating was low carb despite the fact that I ate out- the only major carbs I ate came from the beans and the chocolate cake, I won’t post my menu since breakfast and lunch were very low carb (less than 24g before dinnertime) AND this post is long enough as it is! lol.

I watched the biggest loser and I was crying through a lot of it (I’m thinking the wine helped I was pretty tipsy by the time I left lol- yes I am a softie when it comes to wine but I love it!). That woman who lost her whole family- I flat out sobbed, when my sister was like what’s wrong I couldn’t even talk! I couldn’t imagine losing my husband or sister or brother or mom, I’ve lost family and friends over the years, but if something happened to one of them, a part of me would die, and this woman lost her husband and two children at once, for her to be walking around and living life makes me have to much respect and compassion for her, she truly is a brave person!

Anyways, there is my huge post for the day! Have a good day everyone!

Meh

This whole thing with my sister has put a sour taste in my mouth- and I also feel like my sister doesn’t want to speak to me- but that could be just me being paranoid. Which whatever it’s her life- I would rather say something than NEVER say anything and she marries someone who could have cheated on her and years down the line find out he is cheating on her.

I asked my sister yesterday if she was okay and she said she has decided she doesn’t believe he’d ever cheat on her (despite all she said yesterday) and I said that’s fine, I just wanted you to know what I’d heard.

I’m dropping it and never mentioning it again, now it’s up to her to decide if she’s totally throwing it out OR if she’s going to at least keep her guard up and pay attention to her surroundings. I mean she’s like “I just don’t know WHEN he’d have time to cheat on me” and I’m thinking hello he’s unemployed and living in another city- when does he NOT have the time? But whatever, her life not mine.

Yesterday was carb terrible! I forgot a good lunch so I ate a lean cuisine I had left over at work, then at night I had two slices of bread with cream cheese! I really just wanted bread and cream cheese and it consumed me! The bread was whole wheat and the cream cheese was light- but yeah… Carbs where still under 40% (like 39% lol) but I woke up this morning with a slight tummy ache…

I swear it’s like what’s up with the world- is someone holding my mail? I STILL haven’t gotten my SB book, I want to read it, then I still haven’t gotten my bike rack adapter. I am feeling very angry and frustrated and yesterday I just felt totally pissed off at the world. I went to bed at like 9 pm to try and shake it off, I feel better today, it’s more like an annoyance than anything. My poor birds wanted to play and it was like no, mommy is mad and doesn’t want to play right now- here’s some strawberries. Which held them off for like oh… 10 minutes… But today I’ll play with them :)

Today I’m working out too- I need to relieve some stress- part of the reason I haven’t since last time is my husband put all this junk in there this weekend and I can’t get to my treadmill… But I’m making him move that stuff so I can get in the freaking door. How funny am I? I feel stressed so I WANT to run? Haha- who am I and what have I done to beerab?! I DID go for a two hour walk on Sunday though.

Anyways- enough of my pissy attitude- I’m off to read your blogs then pretend I’m working ;)

Have a great day everyone!

Oh BTW I forgot- tonight is the restaurant my husband and I are going to- I’m actually excited about that :)

We are going to the Harbor’s Edge at the San Diego Sheraton Hotel. Click Here and the photo that comes up is the inside of the restaurant. :)

This is tonight’s menu:

Choice of First/Appetizers Course
Sea Scallops: grill marked, lemon-butter preserve, herbed ciabatta
Lollipop Lamb Chops: seared herb crust, white bean cassoulet
Edge Salad: Fresh Express Seasonal Greens, crumbled goats cheese, anjou pear, aged sherry vinaigrette

Choice of Second/Main Course
Curry Crusted Ahi Tuna: seared rare, jasmine rice, wakame salad, fried ginger
New York Strip Steak: melted st. agur bleu cheese, red wine demi, au gratin potatoes
Cioppino: lobster, prawns, mussels & clams, savory seafood and tomato broth

Choice of Third/Dessert Course
Warm Cherries Jubilee: black, bing & rainier cherries, cheesecake ice cream
Molten Chocolate Cake: warm fudge center, a la mode
Creme Brulee: tahitian vanilla bean, sugar in the raw

I’ll be having the scallops, the cioppino, and probably the molten chocolate cake, but like I did with the dessert the other night, I ate a bit then took the rest home and it got eaten up yesterday by hubby :) Hubby is having the salad (I think), the NY strip steak, and the creme brulee.

I PROMISE tomorrow will be an amazing recap post of the two restaurants I checked out :)

Monday

Hey everyone,

I had a crazy weekend, not the greatest of news, heard through a friend that my sister’s bf is cheating on her, she saw it with her own eyes. The person who told us has no reason to lie, and they are MY friend so if they wanted to stir up trouble why wouldn’t they tell me my HUSBAND is cheating on me? She has nothing to gain by telling me this information either.

I didn’t know what to do and okay my sister is talking marriage with this guy- so I told her- hey, this is what so and so told me. She did get upset (which I felt terrible for) but I was like dude if you are going to marry this guy we should know BEFOREHAND if this is true or not. She does believe my friend because I’ve known her for years and she’s never done anything like this or anything to make us not trust her.

So my sister and I talked and she said a few weeks ago when she went to a game of his, that this one girl was giving her a lot of attitude and she didn’t know why. Her bf also didn’t seem to be as affectionate when they were there but at the time didn’t think about it. Then she found out that he lied to her about meeting up with an ex gf of his (this slipped out- he had previously told her he was hanging out with friends and she happened to be there, but come to find that he hung out ONLY with her). She also said she’d gone through his phone a few times and sees that his texts are constantly low even though he texts quite a bit, and so on.

The thing that has surprised me is that he has also started accusing HER of being unfaithful to him! I’ve been around people with cheating spouses/SO’s for years, and to suddenly start accusing your partner, with no good reason, IMO, is a red flag. She also says he’s had this “whatever” attitude when it comes to doing stuff together, he just wants to sit at home and do nothing, but if a friend calls he’ll go out and say it’s guy’s only (this is when she went up to be with him for the summer). Since they live in different cities she can’t exactly see or know what he’s doing either at the moment.

I feel really bad for telling my sister, I mean he’s a great guy, I like him, but one of my sister’s good friend recently found out her OWN bf was cheating and NOBODY thought he was that kind of guy… I feel terrible for hurting my sister, I slept terribly last night- I woke up a million times! But I guess it had to be done and my sister told me she’s not mad at me for telling her because she would have done the same for me.

I mean I really hope I’m wrong, I hope her bf isn’t cheating, but deep down something is telling me he might be. I always felt my sister she loves him more than he loves her because of how he acts, but I never said anything cuz it’s not MY relationship, I felt if she was happy that’s all that matters. I also held my tongue when he’d say things to her like “I don’t think I ever want to get married” and she’d fight with him till he’d be like “well maybe, but not now” and so on… I mean after three years you’d think you could tell a person “yes I want to marry you someday” which makes me think he doesn’t want to ever marry her! Guys who keep telling their gf’s this IMO just don’t want to come out and say they don’t want to marry that person.

Anyways, I was so dead this morning I totally forgot to weigh in as it is- BAH! I also forgot my pictures of the restaurant week so I’ll post those up tonight or tomorrow. No bike rack, tried calling the company their voicemail thing is busy, will try later, if it’s still on backorder I will cancel and find somewhere else to get my bike rack adapter…

Have a good day everyone. Hope your weekend was better than mine!

Restaurant week

Eating was good yesterday. Dinner was grilled garlic chicken (rubbed it in crushed garlic) with my favorite middle eastern salad that contains cucumbers, onion, tomato, and lemon with sumac (I don’t put the sumac on the sparkpeople cuz I can’t find anything on it nutritionwise except that it’s 0 calorie). Carbs were good, only 27.7% of my daily total intake. I made mashed potatos for hubby and sister to go with their meal but I didn’t touch them :D I did eat a la tortilla tortilla with some cheese for a snack afterwards cuz my calories were so low and I was feeling a tad hungry.

I tuned into the vampire diaries last night- I liked it :) It wasn’t the greatest, definitely the actor’s aren’t the best, but I chalk it up to being new and not really into their character just yet. It’s like many shows, the first episode is good, not great, but with time things get better :) I’ll be watching it next week for sure!

Supernatural of course was AWESOME! So many crazy twists and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time :) Gosh Sam and Dean are so freaking hot- it’s not right I tell you ;)

I’m so glad it’s Friday, I could barely get out of bed today! Today will be a busy day at work, I have to finish some organization, then go to a DNA lecture, then get some kits made, possibly pick up some pipet’s from Rainin, and then when I go home I’ll be putting together the contracts for our new client, that guy I believe I mentioned who I thought wasn’t going to call me back? Well he did! So I said I’d put together a contract and email it to him on Friday.

Anyways, to the topic at hand :)

Two times a year in San Diego there is something called “Restaurant Week” and in that week (starts this Sunday) about 200 hundred San Diego restaurants participate. They set up special 3 course menu’s and the prices are $20, $30, and $40 per person depending on the restaurant. Now you might think OMG that’s a lot of money- but NOT for these places. The $30 and $40 places are where usually a mere APPETIZER is $15+. So it’s a bargain and the portions are full sized, it’s not like you are getting a dinky meal. This doesn’t include drinks or tip. But it’s still a bargain. If you click on “Restaurant Week” you can check out the site with all the restaurants.

I’ve planned two dinners this year, one with my sister (just a sister’s night out) and the other with my husband. Yes I am aware of my diet but am going to try and keep it low carb as possible. Usually I take this time to take advantage of all the seafood! I love seafood!

Sunday night my sister and I are going to Harbor House. The menu for that night is:

Choice of First/Appetizers Course
Oyster Combination Plate: Two Oysters on the half shell and two Oysters Rockefeller
Coconut Shrimp: Coconut Fried Shrimp on fresh baby spinach with avocado and berries
Calamari Mixed Greens: Tender Calamari with poaced pear, candied walnuts and goat cheese

Choice of Second/Main Course
Planked Fresh King Salmon: A fresh filet, prepared Pacific Northwest style on a cedar plank with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies
Filet Mignon: a delicately flavored tenderloin of beef with a wild mushroom demi-glaze, with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies
Ruby Red Ahi Two Way: Why choose when you can have both? Lightly “pan peppered” and seared with sesame seeds and sticky rice

Choice of Third/Dessert Course
Fresh Fruit Tart: Fresh Berries and fruit atop vanilla custard in a light cookie crust
Chocolate Mousse: A deep chocolate mousse with whipped cream and berries
Profiteroles: Delicate puff pastries filled with vanilla cream custard, dark chocolate sauce and whipped cream

I will be having the oyster’s for my appetizer, the salmon for my entree (I will not eat the mashed potato’s), and my dessert will be the profiteroles. My sister is also getting the oysters, then the filet mignon, and the tart for dessert, we are going to try each other’s desserts :) I am going to TRY to not eat all the dessert lol! Don’t worry I WILL take pictures of the food, everytime I’ve ever gone it’s a beautiful presentation of of the food :)

I have already made reservations for the other restaurant, but will show you the menu next week, I’m not going till Tuesday so you might forget then! lol ;)

Wednesday

I had a headache yesterday and broke down and had some chocolate pie- not a good thing- but then pft funny thing was after I ate the half slice (I still put the full slice on my sparkpeople) my stomach felt irritated- go figure! I went on the treadmill half an hour and then watched the two hour season premier of Top Model and then after I took an ibuprofen and went to bed. Slept terribly- woke up a million times- I’m tired this morning but that’s okay, today is another day. Gonna keep chugging along. I’m hoping my book comes in today because the South Beacher’s on 3FC have a strange way of “being supportive” so I’m like yeah not posting in there. I ask how many carbs to eat, they say there is no number, then when I say okay I’ll pick this number as a starting point for now and they jump on me saying I don’t know the “theory” behind SB. I’m like dude- I’m a biology major, I THINK I understand the “theory” more than most people…

Then I say well I’m trying to eat 40% or less carbs cuz of my PCOS condition they then tell me I’m not eating enough calories- wtf? How does saying I want to eat 40% carbs translate to only eating 1000 calories a day? I’ve been eating 1250-1450 a day and getting under 40% carbs- it’s like what’s the logic? Where did they even get that number from?! lol.

Again I’m a work in progress so I really have to figure out the right balance so that I won’t snack like I did last night! I probably should have taken a pill from the beginning- but I can be daft sometimes and totally didn’t think about it. I think part of the reason I also ate that half slice of pie was I was a little pissed off at a friend of mine and hubby had taken out the pie and was eating TWO SLICES! *sigh* It’s not an excuse but it just goes to show I have to be careful about eating my feelings… I won’t bore you with the details of why my friend was pissing me off… but let’s just say I’m not going out of my way to speak to her anymore.

I did do a quick half hour on the treadmill yesterday cuz I felt guilty about the pie lol. Just did a 3.0 pace and my foot felt fine, feels a bit- I don’t know- Almost ITCHY today- but not really painful. So gonna go on again today :D The adapter STILL hasn’t come in- how freaking long is something going to be on BACKORDER?! I WANT IT NOW- if it’s not here by TOMORROW I’m calling the company and pitching a fit. I ordered this thing like a damn month ago- I’ve only ridden my bike TWO TIMES, definitely not getting all the money I spent out of it! I’ve been wanting to go to the beach for WEEKS to take a ride- and I can’t put my bikes on my rack… I’d love to go this weekend and take a nice long ride for an hour. Hubby and I had planned to go bike riding at least 2x a week… It’s so frustrating buying something you can’t use!

One nice thing is a friend I haven’t seen in months saw my picture (I took one of my new hair and posted it online) and she was like WOW your face is so much thinner have you lost weight? Which made me feel good :D

Anyways, today will be better, I had my cheese and fruit leather for breakfast, then have leftover chili and salad for lunch, dinner will be chicken and squash or something. Not 100% sure yet- but the chicken is thawing as we speak… er… as I type? As you read this? ;)

Oh and already noticing more clothes fitting looser, specially these jeans I’m wearing :D, after 4 days and cheating two times (bad Beerab) I’m feeling encouraged- but know I’d probably be doing even better if I hadn’t cheated two times. It’s all good- I’m back on track today and next time I feel like cheating I’m going to hop on the treadmill. Overall I plan on sticking to phase 1 as long as possible, knowing me, I will probably gain weight if I hit phase 2!

Have a great day everyone!

Yay for me!

Survived another day! And had no headache yesterday! WOO HOO! Probably cuz I had a full arson in my fridge lol. I spoke with a couple people and ended up purchasing the South Beach book for $0.09 cents on Amazon- with shipping it came out to $4.08. Not bad eh? Oh and no more weighing until Monday- I really want to be surprised this next weigh in :D Technically I’m not supposed to weigh in for two weeks, but uh yeah… This girl will go crazy waiting that long!

Anyways, according to the people I spoke with, there isn’t really a set number of carbs you have to eat a day, so I have to stop beating myself up- Monday wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t the worst I could have done. I chose under 100 grams of carbs a day because I figure that will keep me under 40% carbs a day for my total intake. It’s actually kind of nice to eat nuts again- before I wouldn’t cuz they were fattening and high calorie! I only buy dry roasted, no salt added (much to my sister’s dismay lol).

Lunch was funny cuz I got up late so I grabbed this bean dip thing and ate that for lunch! With an apple and of course my water. It was good but I’ll never do that again lol. It was pretty high cal and not too bad on carbs. But the plan from now on is to make a larger amount of food for dinner so I can have leftovers at lunch :) I’ll throw in greens with it if possible. Like last night I made pork chops (sister requested) and I bought one extra piece so I can eat it today for lunch with a large salad. :)

Tonight’s dinner is going to be this ground turkey I bought, not sure exactly WHAT yet, then I’ll be having that for lunch tomorrow as well. I’m excited I found ground turkey! It was kind of expensive though- I’ll wait to buy it again when it’s on sale.

OH AND OMG I bought those mini Babybel rounds- I was like WHERE have these things been all my life? BESIDES being lower in sodium than the skinny cow wedges- they are GOOD! I definitely recommend them, I got the cheddar one but they have other flavors :)

I also noticed yesterday that the higher amounts of fat also made me feel fuller longer, and I didn’t feel like I HAD to snack at all yesterday. Before with the lower fat and higher carbs I’d always want to eat, lately the hunger pains were coming back and it was really disturbing me.

So cheers, to finding something that will work for you :) And thank you guys for your support :)
