213!

Okay I couldn’t help myself, I weighed in! I knew I was losing- my stomach was definitely down- so I had to check before TOM came in a few days! My poor hubby I’m always at TOM during Valentines lol. 213 is a number that I haven’t seen since BEFORE christmas- that’s just SAD. Sparkpeople and 3FC have been my saviors! All the encouraging people are wonderful! So thank you 3FC posters and all the bloggers out there- your encouragement is a great help and your stories are inspirational! If I had been alone I know I would have been like screw it and then gone straight back to eating whatever and gaining weight and being miserable! LIke I said before- this time it’s for real- I’m losing the weight and keeping it off!

Where did the time go?!

So it’s been almost 5 months since I started my job working at the crime lab- let me say I really enjoy my job and can’t wait to become a full analyst. I received another great review and after my 6 month review I’ll be a permanent employee woo hoo! No more probation!

It’s working…

So yesterday I weighed myself in the morning after having been 219 earlier in the week. I was back down to 214 lbs- I’m very happy with this sparkpeople website- seeing my calories consumed help me to understand whether I’m actually hungry OR if I’m just eating to eat. I weighed myself in the evening as well and tee hee the scale said 214.5- I wanted to weigh myself this morning- but was running late so oh well. I might still wait till Saturday morning to see what another whole week does.

My husband is so sweet- I came home Friday, gave him a kiss, and then I was preparing dinner in the kitchen and he was just staring at me- I was like what is it babe? And he was like “I don’t know babe, today you look so beautiful, well you normally look beautiful, but today you just look really beautiful!” I was like AWW you are so sweet! Someone’s getting laid tonight ;) lol.

OH and the great thing was a friend of mine I haven’t seen in a few weeks came over on Friday as well and was like “did you lose weight? You still working on the weight loss? Cuz it shows!” I was like woo hoo! I told him yup still working on it. Then the silly butt says “Hey let’s go get pizza for dinner.”

HELLO TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT! I was like no thanks I’m cooking you are welcome to stay. To which he replied that he’s actually going to his brother’s house for dinner (erm okay). He left 30 minutes later then Chad and I had a nice dinner alone and watched a movie together :D

Anyways- in short- yay sparkpeople! I think I found something that is working for me.

Sparking…

Okay so yesterday I joined the spark people and it’s funny- when you actually SEE the amount of calories you are eating- it’s easier to not go overboard.

Yesterday according to spark I ate 1462 calories- though I did go to bed with a headache- I’m attributing it to lack of sleep the past few days. Oh and I’d weigh myself but PFFFT my husband the genius put a heavy bottle of detergent on top of the scale and killed the battery apparently! I’m like HELLO DIGITAL SCALE! I think I’m going to weigh myself on Saturday mornings because walking across the hall naked- I don’t want to run into my sister lol ;) The scale is in her bathroom since it’s the common bathroom- maybe I should buy myself my own scale lol. So now I have to get a new battery- at least it’s Friday and I can take care of that after work- I’d have gone on my lunch but I totally didn’t think to do that!

Work is getting annoying- now don’t get me wrong- I LOVE to work here- but my boss told me to send out an email saying something- he’s my boss- of COURSE I am going to listen to him! I figured he’d gone through the appropriate channels to get the okay- but apparently he did NOT. So I get called in and I was like hey I was following orders- I did what I was TOLD to do and nothing more. So while I think I am off the hook- it does frustrate me cuz it makes ME look like a jackass! I hate that.

Anyways- I’m getting over it…

SparkPeople

Okay so looking around I joined spark people today- I have to say the site is awesome. I can put in any food I eat, it gives me a meal plan each day, and it tells me what to buy for the week- I’m definitely on it!

If this works out I will probably still see the nutritionist but now I feel I’ve got a great guide! I won’t track calories in my written journal anymore- unless I need to add something online but don’t have time- that way I can add it later :D

I’m going to tell my family that I have to take care of my own diet so now they are on their own! lol.

Yay for me

So good for me- I got home last night and made up some Tuna (60×2.5= 150 cal) with light mayo (40 cal) and I really wanted some bread so I had two slices of wheat toast with it (200 cal).

All in all a 290 calorie dinner, but man it was satisfying! There is something about calibrating a pipet for over 2 hours that makes you hungry!

So yesterday was a total of 1825 calories- not the best- but not the worst.

I can’t wait to get over this flu so I can get back to the gym! I’m still totally congested BOO

TUNA!

Dude I just thought about it, I totally forgot I bought some TUNA- so I’ll eat that when I get home, I have tuna, some low fat mayo (like a tsp), and a few veggies such as pickles, celery, and carrots- that should be a much healthier late dinner AND I have some wheat thins I can eat with it- YAY!

Any suggestions are still welcome I have a late night class 2x a week.

A new month, a new start

So today weighed in at 216. I’m not surprised as I only worked out 1x last week! And this weekend I wasn’t too great- I had two slices of pizza, a few chicken wings, and salad during the superbowl (I’ve done worse in the past). I also ate out at KFC Sat and Sun because my hubby has been sick with Vertigo and I have been concentrating on him so much I haven’t  been taking care of myself! It’s not an excuse- and today it’s back to the right routine.

So far I’ve had two bananas and I’ve got some leftover lentil soup for lunch- after work I do have class so I’m going to have to figure out what to eat- I’m pretty sure I’ll hit Rubios for a chicken chopped salad with salsa- yes it’s like a 600 calorie salad but that’s all I’m having besides my two bananas, lentil soup, and probably either an orange or some yogurt. I have to run to the bank today on my lunch- and I haven’t done my analytical chemistry hw- so I have to catch up on all that before tonight!

Tomorrow it’s back to the gym! Again at least 3x a week, and as much as I like to go have lunch with the guys at work- I think I’m going to stick to going to the gym that Friday like I should so I can hit at least 4-5 times a week at the gym (trying to fit in Mondays and Fridays again and just rest on weekends).

Hopefully most of the calories over the weekend were just water weight! Flushing out my system and eating better the rest of the week should help me out! Remember no giving up!
