So I’ve been avoiding my Introduction for a while cause It is the most self endulgent part of I bolg.
My name is Anne, I am 25 and live in beautiful Lake Tahoe California. I have been overweight my whole life. I have never been obese until about 3 years ago. My skinniest was about 4 years ago and I weighed 140lbs (after a 2 week flu) My heaviest was about 6 months ago I weighed 235. I am currently 217.4 I put on almost 100 pounds since my skinny weight…and simply can’t believe it.

People tell me I am the:

you have a beautiful face girl

you would look so hot thin girl

you don’t look morbidly obese girl

I have been fat all my life, I have missed out on so much and I want my life back.
I have a boyfriend of 4 years.
I want to get skinny and get married and build a family.

I had cancer, am now a survivor, and don’t want to miss out on the life I almost had taken from me.

I am just a hop skip and a jump away from heart disease and diabeties…
SO I AM GOING TO DO THIS!

13 Jan 2009 In: Food Log and Excercise

So I am going to put these online now so I’m holding myself accountable plus…save a tree =)
So I did 1 and 1/2 hours at the gym, then went snow shoeing for 30 mins. I did not go to Jazzercise but I will go tonight at 5:30.
SO today wasn’t the best day for eating…

I had:
4 egg whites= 67 calories, 16 protein

A sandwich with fat free cheese , 2 tbsp low fat mayo , lettuce, tomato, 1 fake bacon strip And 1/4 avocado: Total= 215 calories, 17 grams of protein,9 grams of fat

banannas+ strawberries= 2 cups with 5 tbsp fat free whipped cream- (25 calories total)
(2)100 calorie pack of chex mix =200 calories 7 grams of fat
(3) Weight watchers 1 point caremel patties-150 calories, 9 grams fat
(1) low fat 60 calorie Jello pudding with 2 tbsp fat free whipped cream -70 calories, 1 gram fat
1 small bite of my boyfriend’s pizza

so yes i did get the sweet tooth munchies…but at least I snaked on low fat and fat free alternitives…
ok so my totals for the day…
ok maybe not so low fat tomorrow is a NEW day!

Fat:26 grams
Protein:37 grams

Ok,
So I am starting a weight loss blog to track my progress and hopefully learn from any mistakes I make along the way. Currently I am on the second day of week 2 of my “journey.” Calling it that feels lame however…
I just weighed in yesterday, and I lost 5.4 pounds in my week one! I am super stoked, however I am trying not to get my expectations up for week 2 seeing as how we all have had a run in with that pesky first week water weight. I have been going to the gym for 2 hours each day doing moderate to high impact cardio and weight training, burning about 750 calories each duration. I then try to walk the dogs, move as much as possible, do lame 30 mins here and there of you tube cardio kickboxing, and dance around my living room like a school girl sleepover.
I am going to go to a Jazzercise class either tonight or tomorrow night to try it out. I think I might be the go at your own pace girl for a little while, but I just need to up my tolerance level. Who was it that said you have more energy when you exercise? I seem to crawl into bed earlier and earlier and sometimes…right after the gym. Yes, yes, I neurotically wash my sheets.
On the topic of neuroticism, I have been thinking about getting a Body Bug. If you don’t already know what it is Google it; enlighten yourself. I would dare say it is the most expensive, fun, over-obsessive weight loss tool to date. I am disappointed that in many reviews I read that although the allude to the notion that the device measures calories burned, and calories consumed, it in fact does not. It instead, after uploading information uses the website to produce data on projected consumption as oppose to tactual calories consumed… so that’s pretty bunk. After all, all I am looking for is an easy way to not have to Log in my food journal.

These are a list of my Dieting Disappointments
Things I must do, and things I must NOT do.

1. Eat little bits throughout the day as oppose to larger meals or waiting all day till famished
2. Mix it up at the gym to not promote a physical funk
3. LOG everything….BLAH!
4. 1 lb = 3500 calories. So go to the fucking gym already
5. Don’t eat OUT!! And if you do…don’t fold!
6. Curb your god dam night munchies you stoner
7. Dance more
8. Have fun, it’s a lifestyle change…not a diet.
