bees knees

I went to see the movie ‘UP’ yesterday morning and can I tell you it was absolutely WONDERFUL?!  I cried like a baby and laughed.  It was magnificent.  You’ve got to see it.

So before my movie I woke up at 6am and biked 7.7 miles along the coastline.  It was swell seeing that gray beach and morning fog but I will tell you that my nether bits were hamburger meat half way through and I kept shifting and shifting my seat to alleviate the numbness. :(  So next time - 2 bike shorts.

When you’re a big girl it’s like the fucking Tour De France every goddamn time.

On Friday morning I biked a grand total of 6 miles having discovered the nice gentle slope by the ocean and it was sunny as hell that morning - it was a beautiful sight to bike along the sea shore and catch a glimpse of the ocean.  That’s when I decided to be ballsy and try the whole route by the sea on Saturday.

I’m feeling better on the bike that’s for sure and despite the few comments that I got on my way to therapy last Tuesday afternoon - ‘Fatty!’ and from another car ‘ You must be motivated!’

I’ve decided not to let the sheer fucked upness of a few young males to ruin my effort to make myself happy.

I’ve been trying to get in 3 rides a week.

So I’m officially down 5.5 pounds for the lovely month o’ May.

Goodness knows I wish it was more….

But it’s a start right?  After all 5 pound increments are much easier to think about rather than the 40+ that need to fall off this 40+ ass.

So as we creep into June - we’ll continue on our journey and shed another 5 pounds.  That’s the goal.

No word on any houses - there is an open house today but I’m debating whether I want to drive out there…

Co-Dependent has been really depressed lately so I told her I would drive out to her and take her to breakfast this morning but I still haven’t received a call back yet.  It’s like 9:20am so I’d like to get this show on the road.

Oh well.

Work is hell, but I’m trying to stay true to my course of riding my bike, not eating crazy, going to therapy and waking/going to bed at the same time everyday.  It’s gotta help…

Hmmm, we’re already 6 months into the year.  Wow how time flies no?  I wonder what great adventures await us in these next 6 months.

How about the adventure of buying a size 10/12 again?

That’d be the bees knees.

Glad to hear it didn’t discourage you at all

steady loss means a steady maintenance so great job in the five lbs loss! its such a shame that we have such assholes in the world today. the hubby and i were talking about that the other day, a really large man was on the treadmill at the gym sweatin up a storm, i mean sweating, like its dripping down and smelled real bad. i changed treadmills because of it, but i didn’t hate on him one bit. infact i was inspired that despite all the stares and i’m sure hurtful words, he’s in the gym workin his ass off. that’s much more than the dumbasses that drink beers every night playin their xboxes like their f*kn 12 or something. ppl…:shakes head: :hi-five: to you for taking those words and fueling you fwd! you go girl with your 7.7 miles! choooow!

Whoa!!!! Five pounds, eh? I’m so proud of you, sweetie!!! Oh, who is ignorant enough to holler stupid stuff like that, anyway? Nobody anybody’d want to know, that’s for sure. You did the right thing - don’t let those misfits discourage you. About the bike seat - well, NOBODY can ride for long on the seats that come on bikes! You have to get you one of those gel seats - check them out. It’ll make your life a lot easier, trust me. I found a good one at - dare I say it - WalMart for around $25. Made a huge difference. Wouldn’t hurt to do a little internet research since biking is becoming a part of your routine - there are all kinds of enhanced seats out there - I think even people with bony little behinds need some extra cushioning. OMG - those rides along the shore have me sooo envious I can hardly stand it. You keep up the good work, hear? I’m aiming for five pounds in June, too -
Love,
Z

You totally ROCK! 5.5 that is a celebration! I am so proud of you like you can’t even imagine!

Thanks for the review on the movie UP. I so want to see it. Went to see NIght at the Museaum and totally loved it. Those are my kind of movies. I got dragged to Terminator and fell asleep. I have been known to do that in movies. It’s dark and what a great place to catch up on some zzzzzzzz.

I am glad you are enjoying bike riding. I fancy myself doing that. Looks like you are on your way to our goal. I guess I better get my butt in gear and get going.

You are my inspiration. And again, I am soooo proud of you!

5 pounds….wow, that is so great…good for you. And kudos on the bike riding. I love bike riding but my butt doesn’t even with my gel seat.
As for the idiots with their snide remarks….I have come to a medical conclusion over the past 20 years, and that is there is no cure for stupid.
luv ya
