offer

What a difference a day makes no?

I had a horrific day on Thursday. I’ll say nothing more about it.

Then on Friday, I was still reeling from Thursday but managed to go house hunting and found a house I really liked - an offer was made.

Now it’s a short sale - so who knows how it will go.

But it was exciting to sign the offer contract (290,000) for the 3 bedroom 2 bath 1175 sq foot house with a small back yard and hardwood under the grey carpets…

It’s in a very quiet neighborhood with very well maintained lawns & houses. Now the neighbor has 3 cars in the driveway (2 racers) and one under a cover. Not crazy about that - but hey - it can’t be perfect. But it’s enough to make me want to make an offer for once in this 4 month 90 house ordeal.

I’ll keep everyone updated.

I know if I get it - I’ll need to rip out the carpet and have the floors refinished so finding a reliable, licensed contractor will be imperative that will be willing to do it for a decent price. I wished I could have offered less but it’s alright - I’m not giving them more than the asking price of 299 so it’ll either work or back to the drawing board.

Maybe we’ll hear something next week…

Meanwhile, I did alright on food yesterday and today I met up with the Crisis couple. We went to see Last chance Harvey - the story could have been better but it was beautiful to see Emma & Dustin on screen though and the premise was refreshing.

I thought Ms. Crisis wanted to eat salad but she wanted to go the Malaysian restaurant and we threw down :) Great stuff and dessert was awesome too!

So needless to say it wasn’t a healthful dinner.

But that’s alright - I’m bleedin’ like a stuck pig so the coconut rice, curry chicken, mango chicken, satay, papaya salad (there ya go) and dessert of banana roti pancake was delicious!

I treated so it was a good night ;) They are excited about the house and have their fingers crossed!

I can go back to soup and salads tomorrow.

They ain’t goin’ nowhere.

I’m drinkin’ vanilla honey camomile tea - it’s nice :)

I’m nervous about the house, it’s in the East Bay so I’ll become familiar with a commute (real) but it’s all very exciting.
