sweet saturday

A lovely day with the Crisis couple and the movie was just what we needed - a really good laugh ‘Burn After Reading’. It was great. We had a lovely lunch at my favorite Thai restaurant down there….

I lucked out and Harriet was pooped out so I took my time meandering back home. I stopped at a few clothing stores and looked around. I found a cool dress for 16.00 and a pair of tights for 3.99 :) Then I went to Target to get serious about grabbing my slimshit and alas - only their generic for less than 5 bucks so I took it :) Same shit, but way cheaper. I’ll take that anyday. Then I had a few cookies :( Actually one would have done it but someone got greedy and grabbed TWO! Oh well. ;)

So what to do about these wrinkles in the interim as I can’t afford to get shot up at the moment. I grabbed some Boots No. 7 moisture night cream and some Neutrogena intensive wrinkle crap. So tonight I’ll start - as I haven’t had a nightime routine in like forever - it’s about goddamn time. Because I’m definitely not getting any younger. I don’t think this shit will be that effective but I’m willing to try it out.

I’m also thinkin about getting a haircut again to learn to live better with my curls. But goodness those goddamn greys are really making an appearance at the hairline. ;( So lazy to dye that mess.

Shit it’s already 10! Man did the day get away from me and I never cleaned up ;)

Oh well there’s always tomorrow ;)

I have discovered something at Sephora called “Immediate Wrinkle Filler”. It does a pretty good job, but only while you are wearing it. Actually I was amazed at the difference I could see when wearing it. I hate, hate, hate all the signs of aging in my skin and am not ready to admit there is nothing to be done.

Annie, I’m doing a cheap thing - Pond’s (shoot, can’t think of what it’s called), OH…micro dermabrasion. It makes my skin feel really soft. I put a ton of moisturizer on afterwards. You do it 3-4 times a week for two weeks. Supposed to diminish fine lines and lighten dark pigmentation marks. I’ll let you know. You’re not supposed to put it near your eyes or lips but I do, (that’s where the lines are!) and then gloop moisturizing agents on there.
Being Pond’s, it costs $8.99. I recently splurged on some make up from Estee Lauder, and got the free gift of the Miracle Night
Repair and two kinds of moisturizers and some underneath the moisturizer serum stuff. You know what? I’ve been using it carefully for a month. No change. I feel better with my original Oil of Delay, and better yet with their other skin care products. Be careful of the Botox, girl, it’s a poison, and it does work it’s way through your body. Don’t know if it hurts the body, but I don’t think the people in charge of giving out the injections have it in their best interests to really know, or tell us if they do. I’ve wanted it too, but now I’m nervous.
Your life is more interesting than most. I’d love to be seeing those spaces, even (especially) the ones that are in the rough neighborhoods, but look so beautiful. Not that I’d buy them, but I’d like to look. Your new agent sounds like a good one.
As for those grays…at least you probably have lovely thick hair. I have peach fuzz of a light, non-descipt color. Was a tow-headed kid, but that doesn’t always bode well for ageing. I don’t want to go Nancy-Reagan-beige-blonde, which is really all you get from over the counter products for my hair color. I’d love to be a deep dark brown or red. When you finally do make up your mind and go for a color or do it yourself, have a moment of silence for me and those like me with nothing but peach-fuzz to work with - or bum fluff as my friends used to call it.
