GPs

I hustled at the hospital today and saw a few old acquaintances. What was great was that Harriet was working and it’s so good to spend time with her. We had dinner and then dessert together. Harriet is moving back to Georgia in October and renovating her family home. She is revisiting her goal of having a child. She’s 45 now and she wants to either have her own child or adopt. It’s wonderful. She will be a wonderful Mom - she’s an awesome stray cat owner with so much patience and love. She might need to stay with me for a little while before she leaves for Georgia. It’ll be nice to have her around - even if I’m in this tiny space ;)

Wow, I will miss her.

Well tomorrow I’m going to meet my new realtor at her office and then she’ll be driving me (I suppose) to the TWO houses that we’ll be looking at today. After we get back to the office, I’m taking off to look (at least on the outside) of the other places I wanted to see. That way if it’s worth it, I’ll ask another realtor to take me there. Apparently, she looked at my 5 choices and only felt 1 of them was ‘in a good neighborhood’ and agreed to take me to see it. So I may need to get someone else to take me there if the outsides look alright. I guess it’s just gonna be challenging.

I got a GPS on payday and today I tried it out to get to the hospital. I drive so many places for work now that I’m no longer in ER and I hate it when I get lost and have to call everyone to help me out. It works wonderfully! It was AMAZING! I’m excited about just writing down the addresses and not a lengthy list of directions!

That’s what I call a great use of technology.

Then it got me thinking….

How ’bout a LIFE GPS?

;)

I love my GPS. I’ve had it for a year or so and we named it Louise. Besides finding addresses when we’re traveling, I love to be able to ask it for a detour when we run into stopped traffic. Since we do so much traveling, I also love being able to ask it to find the nearest grocery store, or chinese restaurant, or whatever. It’s great!

Good luck looking at those houses. Still seems like the realtors kind of act like they’re doing you a favor, doesn’t it?

When I picked up the keys to my first house I thought there should be trumpets playing. I had looked at 14 houses before I found mine, but when I finally did I loved it. The search is worth it, even if it feels like a painful process. And hey, those realtors work for YOU!
