good day
Started out this morning later than usual because Codependent stayed up into the wee hours of the morning and couldn’t get up early so she and her pup came to get me at 10:30. We headed over to her parents house in Half Moon Bay because the hiking trail is a few blocks away. Her parents house was a cool two story home - every bedroom has a fireplace - there’s windows galore, a waterfall wall (no artificial stone or anything - just a flat water surface) and the master bedroom also has a beautiful jacuzzi that overlooks the woods/hidden view of ocean. It was wonderful. Her parents were about to leave for Carmel - they head out every weekend. Her father was an attorney and part time fire fighter. Her mother a homemaker. She was nice and the house while messy was really spacious and airy. I wanted it badly. The smell of the woods were so nice and it’s like a hop skip from the beach. Nice joint.
We went for the hike and 4 hours later made our way back to the ocean. It was great - a bit grueling at times but her dog and she were able to do it and I found it challenging enough that it was time well spent. We went back to her house after taking the dog to the beach and ate steak sandwiches. Her parents had frozen steak individually wrapped (some company made it) and she threw it in the George Foreman grill and magically they were done in no time flat. AMAZING shit. I loved it. ON the trail we just had some triscuits and coffee beforehand.
It was truly wonderful.
Came home and soaked in epsom salts!
I’m beat - it’s 8:25pm and I’m thinkin of goin to bed at 9:00 or 9:30 so I can get up early to start cleaning the house. Yep, it’s GOT to be cleaned by tomorrow afternoon.
I’ve got Yoga in the morning at 9:30 with Codependent.
I had a grilled chicken breast (thank you trader joes) and an avocado crisis couple gave me last week. It was good together. I skipped the brown rice bowl I microwaved. I’ll put that away for tomorrow maybe…
Although it was overcast and the trail seemed like it would never end - it was nice to have company for a change ![]()

Wow. Now THAT’S the kind of house we should ALL have, don’t you think? A fireplace in every bedroom? A jacuzzi with a view…oh, yeah! So glad you’re enjoying yourself, Anniegirl. Do more of it, you hear?
Hugs,
Z
