Symphony No. 5 in D minor, OPUS 47

Tonight’s regularly scheduled program (me slaving at my desk till dark) was pre-empted by the fabulous symphony! I told one of my other friends that I would be dropping in on it (never did that before) because it was their bon voyage concert (they are touring europe). So she wanted to go and just like that I got two tickets for 45.00 total (terrace center) and those seats were facing the conductor - so close to the musicians. The second half Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 in D minor OPUS 47 was absolutely off the hook. Again I found myself grinning in the dark, euphoric… to think that once upon a time only royalty could listen to such wonder. Wow, it was so worth it! I want to do it again. This time I was marveling at Mother Nature and her ability to gift us with such talent as to elicit the deepest of emotions that equal the most beautiful scenes in natural world. I felt love for humankind- we are truly remarkable. We give birth, we cry, we create so much beauty that enthralls all of our senses. Damn, I don’t know shit about classical music but it always helps me concentrate when I study and sometimes I can literally feel the deep soulful longing of the violin. My friend really liked it too - so it was great! Man, now I know to get the cheap seat and really enjoy the show!

I’m off to LA at 5:00am tomorrow morning and that means I’m gettin up at like 4:15 to get going. SHIT. I guess that’s what you get tryin to get a cheap ticket that really isn’t that cheap! But I’m lookin forward to spendin time with my friend and my brother. We might go see the Bourne Ultimatum (I’ve been wantin’ to see that). I threw some things in a bag while we chatted on the phone tonight so tomorrow shouldn’t be a nightmare…. Hopefully that bitch doesn’t notice that my goddamn forehead doesn’t frown anymore. I’m gonna keep my bangs down on it! :)

Hmm, food did not go as well as one expected today. I had a good salad at lunch, then later on in the day I ate some chicken off an old lean cuisine frozen dinner - then had the gall to strip two half sandwiches of turkey & ham and threw away the bread, tomato & cheese. WTF? I had an MF soup for breakfast, two bars (hungry) then the carnage that was lunch, dinner and goddamn meat fest. WTF? I feel trouble a brewin (period) and that is totally not cute. But let it start at this weekend so it’ll be over by next. I may want to be up to no good again? OR not.

Ok it’s 12:09am and I am officially fried. Oh the music was just DIVINE. That is the word for it…. DIVINE.

What an incredible way to end the day….
