Ah, that’s when you get a headache
February 28th, 2012
I walked to town and back today (Dr Dukan tells you to take a 20 minute walk) which took me about 35 minutes, plus pottering time. When I got back I had a slight headache, but nothing like how I felt on Atkins (I think, let me check). Yep, headaches from day one. So it sounds like I probably did a bit too much exercise.
If this is as bad as it gets I can definitely last a week on this diet.
Today I heard one positive, one so-so and one negative story about dukan. I know it goes with the territory but people do love to tell horror stories. My sister-in-law told me that I need to go to weightwatchers properly but it really doesn’t work for me.
Day 2
February 28th, 2012
Weight 222.8
Dr Dukan tells you to weigh yourself each day during the attack phase, probably because he expects you to lose a lot of water weight and see fairly spectacular losses. I’ve lost nothing which comes as no surprise.
I used my fitness pal to look at the calories I had taken in yesterday and it was probably about 1200. I wouldn’t say I wasn’t hungry, I’d say I was bored of eating protein, but I didn’t run for the biscuit bin. Enjoyed the hot chicken last night. I had two muller lights as well.
Today: a slightly thinner galette (I’m going to try making them more pancake-y), ham and cottage cheese for lunch, the mullers, the other portion of my smoked haddock and egg and crab sticks and chicken as snacks.
No headache yet.
